Great video. Those who are old enough know this car had balls back in the day. In 1995 ( which could be before the video creator was born), this car with a sr20de 2.0L engine with no special valve timing it puts out 108kw, 179nm of torque coupled with a 5 speed manual - had much more potential than it's rivals... Read on. It was cheaper than the VTEC powered civic, 1.6L 16v Corolla and the V6 Mazda astina... Also subjectivity faster and more tractable...no need to rev that high to access power. With some basic modifications like exhaust, intake, filter, timing - can do a sub 15s quarter mile...not bad for a 2.0L for $25k

These SR20 engine SSS pulsars are starting going up in value very quickly too now and are starting to gain traction now in Australia So if you can grab one that's still cheap best to pick one up. Drove an auto one once and wasn't all that good but had a friend who had one of these in manual and it was a really nice all round sporty yet practical hatch. Driven the new one (ST-S) mechanly the same as the SSS with the same 1.6 dig turbo engine and while the engine was actually very impressive, the handeling, quality, interior, fit and finish definitely needed some work. For those who won't be able to find a 2.0L SSS manual pulsar at a decient price it's spiritual successor seems to be either the BK mazda 3 sp23 manual or the BL to BM 2.0L manual which all came with a slick close ratio 6 speed. As for the SP25's atm they are still way too expensive in Australia So much so that for almost the same coin you can get yourself an MPS. Although I think what made the SP25 so popular and hold its value is that for automatic only drivers(and there's alot) the larger capacity NA engine with its higher torque and lazier power delivery seems to a better match for people looking to get an auto unlike the SSS pulsar or 2.0L Mazda 3 which are much slower in auto given a more top end power delivery. Also the MPS was manual only. As for the regular BL-BN 2.0L 6 speed manual mazda 3 they are better warm sporty hatch then may think. Having 108-114kw in a compact close gear manual hatch with pretty good handling even in the base model and like the SR20 the MZR engine loves to rev a and rewards the driver for doing so and will see 0-100 about 8 seconds which is brisk but not fast buy today's standards but more importantly are very fun to drive in the same way the SSS was. Just something to consider.

Hey there, did you need any other equipment to change the steering wheel? I've been wanting to get another steering for my n15 but wanted to stick to a nissan steering wheel like the one in this video instead of going aftermarket but wasn't sure if you need anything else to make it work.

Yeah I used to own one. Great cars!! My current daily is a Awd magna with a 75 swap. (Partner only drives auto and no way I'm getting an auto SSS)

Great video there my friend. I may think about a Nissan Pulsar N15 dunno if I'll choose a SSS or SLX. Everything on what I buy has to be stock standard looks weather it's Gearknobs or steergwheels " That's just me. We are all different. Right now I'm driving a AU series ll Narooma Blue Ford Falcon SR sedan " Automatic. Does the job but by the end of the year early January 2023 I'm looking at selling the car. My second car which is a 1984 Nissan Urvan diesel-camper - 5-speed manual - Column shift. Stock standard with the original gear knob and steering wheel. That's my new daily campervan one all sorted out too with the refurbished mechanical stuff sorted. Had it since December 29 " 2019. My AU I've had since 2014. Been a great car but it's time to move on to my new campervan daily and my next car interms of replacing my Ford could be a Pulsar but not definite though " I most likely get my self a Mitsubishi Pajero GLS only in Manual as my second vehicle to have fun in the stock standard look too. It’s got around 202 thousand kms at the moment! And it came with the N14 SSS wheel, still trying to find an N15 wheel to put back on it but, I agree they look heaps better :)

It depends how you drive tbh, with normal driving a tank can last about two weeks, but when driving it hard more often once a week for sure 😂
