Anyone wanting to learn more about this should definitely check out the documentary Zero Days 📺. While strengthening our defenses (both in government and corporate spheres) against these kinds of attacks is never a bad idea, this video seems to leave out the fact that in the US we are very much so engaging offensively on the cyber warfare front.

My only opinion is that if I were Iran I'd be VERY careful to take action discreetly, because if it is traceable it'll justify bombing Tehran in the minds of the GOP. The fact you know if an attack came from China, Russia or Iran within hours of not minutes is testament to US cyber capabilities. The fact that US cyber attacks are rarely observed, and are often discovered months to years after the start of an attack is testament to the US offensive cyber capabilities.

@@hamidirani8258 My friend, the US and the majority of Americans have never wanted to rule the world. Ever since the 1890s there has been a significant push against US imperialism among Americans with much of the movement’s roots started as far back as 1820. These sentiments have only grown. If the US ever wanted to take over the world it would have happened after WWII when the US was the only nation with the atomic bomb, or during the 90s when the US first became the only superpower. I hope Iran becomes a leader on the world stage, however I can’t see them doing that as a theocracy. Iran’s support of Russia is short sighted. The growth in the Iranian military industrial complex won’t be worth the enemies they made in Europe. Russia is a terrible ally, and will try to betray Iran the movement their interests no longer align. Iran as a democracy would see unprecedented growth.
