Prophet Moses was of dark to jet black in color as per many Sahih hadith books. And for every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a Messenger; when their Messenger comes, the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. (Qur'ân 10:47) And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): "Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc. i.e., do not worship Taghut besides Allah)." Then of them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth). (Qur'ân 16:36) Above quranic ayats are slso evidence that every nation was sent with Prophets. Only some of them are mentioned in Qur'an. You guys need to brush up your knowledge before lecturing others.

His poems show how racist the Arabs were in his time because he was very Black like his mother who was a Habashi slave but his father was an Arab warrior. Point of description is needed because of those who are set out to change history and blind others from the truth to have a form of power or control. To mislead people in way to have them think their existence is of no value. Salaams, have you not read the descriptions of prophets as found in Sahih collections of Hadeeth like Bukhari? Even in the English translations, the Prophet Musa a.s. is described as having the skin color “dark brown” with hair that is tightly curled or very curly. The Arabic word for his color is “Adami” meaning he was “dark brown like the color of Adam a.s.” Even Isa, a.s. was described as being medium brown or yellowish brown. The Arabic word is Asmar. In other words he was a person of color and if he were to attempt to board a 1950’s bus in Alabama he would have to sit in the back with the rest of us black people. Ad-Dajjal was described as having red skin color. The word is Ahmer or Ahmar or Hamrah. Why red? Because that is the color white people turn in the Arabian sun. Red was the color used to describe Romans and some Persians and others from the north. Wa Allah and His Prophet know best.

The problem is there are those who made it matter and based their whole religion culture and way of life on color. So when a people have believed in the privacy of their hearts and minds that it matters and they have chosen certain prophets to look like them and they have been taught this for hundreds of years. Once I saw two people I know talking about the color of the Prophets. This was around 2008. They asked me if I had the answer. I knew about Prophet Musa and Prophet Muhammad (SAW). I looked at both of them. I smiled and said. What did you read about Musa and Muhammad (SAW). From the Quran and sunnah. They had some answers about Muhammad (SAW). Not much and Musa. I said instead of taking about their color. Read about the messages they came with. I told them don't tell me the answers to then question I'm about to ask you. Go home and answer them to yourselves. Do you pray your 5 prayers. Do you fast in Ramandan. Do you give your yearly Zakat. And if the answers is no. Then you need to find out why we have to do those. That's should be the focus not the color. My point was. Even for myself. There's so much I can learn and do to get rewards from Allah. Why focus on all the Prophets height, weight, skin color. When they were sent messages for us to follow. I said it with a smile and jokingly. They were very young. When you want to help somebody. The way you deliver the knowledge is very important. You don't want to turn them away. Because of how you delivered your answer.

This question can come only from Christians. Because despite the fact that the bible is corrupted to the core the Christians believe the Bible is the only book of God. Yet the bible has no answer. But Quran answers your question. The Quran (16:36) clearly states that God sent prophets to every nation on the face of the earth. It only mentions 25 by names. Tomorrow Chinese can ask this question too. Japanese, Indians, Mogols, Native Americans et al can ask the same. If every prophet's story is mentioned then we need a book as big as a multi story building.

Prophet Ibrahim when he took on his 2nd wife Hagar (Hajjar),she was an African woman. Her son Ismael was a Prophet, which is why our Prophet Muhammad had African blood in his body because of Hajjar and Ismael. It is said that Luqman was an African. As far as Isa our Prophet described Isa in hadith. But there are 2 different descriptions of Isa in hadith. The problem here is that we lessen religion when we take an elementary approach like little children. The time we spend on looking for physical evidence is wasted time. ALLAH says that all is a sign. So our journey should be seeking the mother of the Book,which is the wisdom of the book.

Messengers and prophets are 2 different things, messengers came in all races and colors but prophets (those with books and miracles) didn't. There was no indian,Chinese or white prophet, this guy is just trying to be nice and taking brown and tanned as black

There are many definitions, but the most authentic definition of a prophet vs a messenger is this: a messenger is sent to a land where they provide a new law and scripture, while a prophet is sent to a land to follow and verify the message of the messenger before them. As for this reason, there are few messengers while there are hundreds and thousands of prophets. I’ve never heard about the books and miracles definition, but I don’t think it is authentic. Both prophets and messsengers came in different skin colors and sizes.

According to the Islamic Hadith Moses was a black man. Again there is a verse in the quran that states that to all of humanity a prophet was sent. That means even the Chinese had a prophet. Islam is inteligent.

Am black and am a Muslim alhamdu lilahi and I am very much great full to allha for that .and the answer is because he didn't make prophet to all rises. Who is prophet from china, or india.but we have DR Zakir Nike from India, Jafar from Nigeria,haipan from Nigeria, Ahmad from Nigeria pantami from nigeria.alhamdu Lillah Muslim is a brother to a Muslims and Muslims.this questions has no room from we back People's.go.

Islam neither affirms or denys black prophet as this is irrelevant. Almighty God does say in the Quran that He has sent a prophet to every nation a man from amongst themselves. So we can conclude there must have been black prophets as black people are a nation/race. If someone says there were no black prophets they need to provide the evidence for this.
