As an engineer, tell that man what the nation needs is create more networks so power comes from different sources or each state manage their power. Secondly to create more alternative energy source like wind, solar and water. This electricity should not be a problem. The problem is they are there desolving money.

The problem is that the states are not interested in building their own power plants. They don't have the money and they are not making efforts to bring in private investors. Only a few states in the south are doing something about power.

You cannot produce 5 000mw for a country the size of Nigeria and expect miracles. South Africa with a quarter of the population of Nigeria produces 60 000mw and that is not enough… they have regular load shedding. The difference is that they are continuously adding to their electrical grid and they are currently unlocking an additional 2,335MW of energy in the short term and 40 000mw over the next 10 years

We the citizens have successfully done way with the government in Éducation = private schools and universities Water= boreholes Health = private hospitals and medical tourism Security = private security companies and yan banga We need to find to find a way to circumvent government in power and roads. The cost and technology of inverter/solar has been slow. Nigerian bussiness men need to work with China to get better technology at affordable rates. The road issue also has no clear solution. Time will fix this. We can no longer depend on our government for anything at all. Most of the services they provide, which we pay for are not working

The same story over 50 years and someone who hasn't seen or experienced 24/7 electricity for 1 year will be arguing based on mediocrity. 1 year into this govt they haven't even talked about how to solve the electricity and security problem.

What are you going to do about it at your own private level?

Unless Nigerians themselves begin to invest in power, we will continue to walk on a long tight rope.

The problem is that the grid is outmoded and not strong enough for a load of over 4,000mw. The whole of the US has only 3 national grids.

The problem is because the leaders are greedy and want a piece of ownership of the power supply. Instead they could remove the red tape and stipulations that make electricity owned by the state. They could have independent private companies in each state supplying to customers and paying taxes to nigeria. But theres no real tax system in nigeria, no private system and no government system.

The problem is the distribution companies. We have to get rid of discos. They are the problem, but as usual politics because the owners are the elite former governors.

We have a problem we want the whole Nigeria to grow at the same peck, we ended up with none developed. By 2032 , all the trucks in America will be powered by electricity. By 2026 to 2028, all the cars will be powered by electric and hydrogen. We are still talking about politics of hates and tribalism. The earth is not waiting for us. The way slave trade faded when machinery came into existence, that's how your oil and games have gone. We have one national grid , how many percent of energy are we losing on transmission. We must start to rebalance the structure but have in mind the children born in the eastern side of the country ( the Biafra ) can never forgive the Nigeria states for all the atrocities perfected against them. The free food is over, leaving a very big burden of debt 97.e4 left for us. No development , no industries for the masses. What is coming to Nigeria is seriously fearful.
