I have been to Sabo Koji right behind Creek Road in Apapa. it was such a scary experience crossing the water but the island is very serene, no cars. some of my colleagues used to go and eat fish pepper soup there at nights after work.

Its actually snake Islands. It is a cluster of about 28 to 35 Islands depending on who you talk to. The Island you went to is called Igbologun and not snake Island. The Islands are in dotted clusters stretching from Marina to Badagry. The shape of the lagoon running through and around the Islands weaves in a snaky line between the atlantic and the mainland, thus earning the appellation "Snake Islands" Abeg make una no destroy the farms and serenity of these islands with your proposals. The balance created by the remoteness of the Islands and the Chaos of the city makes Lagos a peculiar city. Please preserve our Islands..we dont all need to live in cities.

If Lagos State government is intentional about developing Snake Island, it could be an upscale choice destination for mixed-use habitation. It only needs to be mapped out into sections, landscaped, provided with expansive road networks and critical infrastructure. If this is done, in future it has the potential to rival and be better than Eko Atlantic City and Victoria Island. Give these islands to the White man and he will transform them into Dream Wonderlands.

Ahhh. Igbologun. Memories. I used to work with Nigerdock on snake island when things were full throttle untill APC came into power and the business crumbled laying off over 5000 workers.

If Lagos State government is intentional about developing the Snake Islands, they could be upscale choice destinations for paradisal beach resorts and mixed-use habitats (estates). It only needs to be mapped out into sections, aesthetically landscaped, provided with expansive road networks (flanked on both sides by tall palm trees) and critical infrastructure. If this is done, in the nearest future, it has the potential to rival and be better than Eko Atlantic City and Victoria Island. Give these islands to the White man and he will transform them into Dream Wonderlands. I also think that the likes of the owner of LANDMARK Beach Resort and other investors should think of partnering with the Lagos State government to build world-class beach infrastructure that turns Lagos into one of the best tourist hubs globally. These are marine and blue economy goldmines whose potentials have remained untapped for foreign exchange revenues. The discovery of crude oil has made us dull and lazy in this country to the point where we have overlooked lucrative sources of revenue that could help us boost our GDP without the overdependence on the oil sector. Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and countries in the Southern African region have no oil, but have harnessed their vast tourism potentials.
