Horizon focus applies to hard cc. So any hook/E/R they take increased damage, doesn’t have to be outside 700 range.

Horizon Focus multiplies on the damage so it's way more effective damage than a Soulstealer will provide. Plus the fact he didn't build Luden's or Archangel's Staff limited his damage a lot since the flat pen and mana to AP from those items is better for huge AP scaling over Everfrost.

Nice vid Zwag, Blitz ap is really a thing and with Q buff it's a beast. I've played solely Blitz AP. Many called me a troll in ranked but they regret to say that after killing adcs, assassins or stealing dragons, with Q AP is so easy to outsmite the jungler. Also I never played tank because imho he don't have the tank kit. He's more than an AP all in. Dark harvest is kinda rng for games, I go for electrocute because you can proc it so easily in lane also in endgame is still good, Everfrost is really weak tbh. You need to burst it not blocking on the spot. I ofted go with Luden (even if in this patch is a bit weak) or Night Harvest. Don't underestimate it its so op. You can lower the cd to 7 secs on both Q and R. Keep it up the content man and have fun!

If you want max AP you have to get the support item, then the wardstone at lvl13+ so it instantly upgrades to the mini-death cap, then once its upgraded you can sell off the support item and finish your max ap build. Its like Riot doesn't want AP champs in the mid lane, only as psuedo-"supports" (read: AP Carry)

Was a time where bruiser/ad blitz was actually good top lane, I'd be curious to see if an AP Bruiser Blitz top would work. Something like Riftmaker, nashor tooths etc. It might be a terrible idea, but I'm curious, since they buffed his Q AP ratio.

I think Swain is even better. His E goes through the minions, he has a decent waveclear with his Q and a lot of sustain with his R. He can also roam and zone people with his W. His passive synergises with any jungler that has any form of hard CC. Very easy to set up ganks. I don't know why no-one picks him mid more often.
