Oh my gosh - I always end up annoyed by my hair dragging when I don't have it covered. I can't have my scarf tails drag, either. I have to tuck them up. I think I always felt like my hair had to be long for some biblical mandate when I was younger, and to please my former spouse and be "feminine" in general. But it's so much work, and it's boring work. I kind of would like it just curly-ish with no rules, sort of badly behaved glory bobbing along.
