Are you using Hug sidelines on the 442? Or you only apply it occasionally.

I have tried using your 442 few times over the last few years, but the problem I found is that there is not much AI movement with these formations. You need to do a lot of manual stuff like L1 triggers which is not ideal for most of the casual players. Would appreciate if you could address this issue in your future formation videos.

Try 4132, especially with pinged pass its superop. Put both winger defenders always on defence, both strikers cover central- false or target as you like. Cam on attack. both winger midfielders with run in behind(as you like, or put one for inside cut), dmf always on defence and cutting lane pass.

You can put lb and rb on mixed or attack, if you are really good at defending. I am not so they always stay for defence

Hey bro, thanks for your effort i watch all videos and have a little question. How can Hojlund be RM or RF in 442 to be there for the headers since he can't play that position and would be 0 Chem than? I just can't figure it out. Hope you can help me, wish you the best

Bro can u teach build up in 4-4-2 i just don’t get my midfield when opponent is pressing even if i use hug sideline instructions to open up the spaces and i really struggle against people who just come out with their cb and press me

With a 442 I find you have to be a lot more active with using both cm. You have to manually move them to create space. Play in triangles it’s a really good formation atm

You probably have it set up in a way where your team defends in a 442.

It gna lie sunny I’m a recent sub. I use to use the 442 in fifa 23 along with the 4231. But this year I stuck with the 4231 and 4222. But I moved over to 442 after watching a vid of yours as I felt my gameplay was stale. Your tatics with a little tweak made games fun.
