Wirh the index machine, you don't actually have to own the pet for it to stay indexed, meaning that you could just get pets, and then get rid of them right away to get a different pet that you don't have and then repeat the cycle. I'm sure with all of your friends you could borrow their pets to index them, and give them back right away.
