My piano teacher knew the founding members of Depeche Mode at school. They originally asked her to be in their band but she turned them down to pursue a career as a teacher. I’m glad she did. I would not have gotten through my own teacher training without her. I’ve now been a piano teacher for 23 years. How time flies!

Love the podcast on YT. In this episode though, there's two things where I think you skipped on the detail. #1 Google Maps is also stunning for public transport. It lists train platforms, times, bus stops and bus numbers. #2 Suica on an Apple Watch or iPhone. When Express Pay is set up, you just top-up and tap like a normal Suica. Plus it gets around all the card supply issues. Keep up the good work!

I miss the Alan Wilder days, though I was a child at the time. My mom was into some of their songs, and I got into it as well. I think I'm quite lucky my mom listened to a lot of 80s pop music.

They stopped selling Suica cards? :O What happens if I use the one I still have from my trip to Japan back in 2018 would it still be usable/chargeable? Also on the tapwater. On my trip to Japan (as I said above back in 2018) I had tapwater they just served me in a restaurant along with drinks that tasted like water straight out of a swimming pool. I guess they just wanted to make extra sure that I won't have problems with swallowing bakteria as a gaijin but my experience with tapwater was awful.

At Shikoku, they told me I cannot use or return/withdrawal money from it elsewhere and as I was about to leave country at Fukuoka, I could not get to money I had at card. Could not even pay Shinkansen with it. So I just gifted it to someone headed to Tokyo at evening dinner… Why don't you add tag of place you are at or add it in brackets so people could find your videos like the one you mentioned?

I LOVE sushi, but my husband only eats chicken (no red meat or seafood at all), is it considered super rude for us to go to a resturant and he just drinks alcohol while I have a meal?
