Interestingly, while palpatine’s spirit surviving and inhabiting clone bodies was never officially retconned, many EU writers chose to ignore it, paint it in broad strokes, and even suggest through multiple characters’ belief that they were simply clones and nothing more(including Timothy Zahn himself through Mara Jade in the “Hand of Thrawn”). I guess they wanted to give people the personal choice to accept it or ignore it, which is nice.

Funny that Disney DECANONIZED everything, and then went on to say there was no source material. (If I recall correctly.) Disney Star Wars has been average at worst. (Which is WAY better than most are saying it seems) but they DID, and STILL DO Have YEARS of source material to draw from. Decanonizing it was a mistake.

Normally, when people like Kinnman Dorian are working for either Palpatine or Sideous on secret missions during the Clone Wars I assume they don't know the full plan or extent of what there doing just to be on the safe side. If they fail they can't rat out the master plan because they themselves have no idea of it: If you want a massive coup or something to work you have to make sure as few people who will be helping do it know the true plan that way there are no leaks and they are helping without knowing it. Like how most Kaminos didn't know the full extent of Order 66, even the higher up Kaminos probably didn't know that all the Chips and Order would be activated and given all at once. Or like how that Munn Senator and Embo helped Sideous out with his plan to take over the banks in Season 6 of The Clone Wars. But given the unique situation, Kinnman was in, I'm pretty sure Palpatine mostly kept him in the dark because he thought it was funny.

After rewatching the bad batch, a weird question hit me (completely unrelated to this video). What purpose do bow style weapons, like the ones used by the nightsisters and omega, serve? Are they better in some ways? Or are they just there for some sort of 'cool' factor? Wouldn't complain if it's just that last reason 😁

Hot take: Tup was a Spaarti clone. He got sprinkled into the 501st before Umbara, which was well after the cylinders were acquired. Could be a reason for why his chip failed. I know that the chips open a whole can of worms when it comes to the continuity, but it could be a viable scenario.

Not directly related to the battle, but the possession of a massive clone army would also have it a lot easier to justify an ongoing war against the separatists. After all none of the senators who approved the ongoing hostilities were going to have to deal with grieving parents of the soldiers, it would have been much easier to exploit grieving families of civilians who were killed as a result of the war because those deaths would make it much simpler to constantly remind the public about the evils of the separatist forces.
