No exhaust can fix that engine. And comparing to the Jag is just setting you up for disappointment when you do get the exhaust. The engine is low revving so it won’t howl like the 981. Also what you said about the Porsche warranty is not correct I think. Porsche warranties are very strict and the car has to be completely standard. I’m an owner of 2 Porsches.

Porsche will not honour a warranty with a De-cat! An individual dealer might if you negotiate a good deal when buying the car. You can refit the stock exhaust for any warranty work though. That's what I did with by cupra!

Wait for Akrapovič to produce their exhaust for this car. Decatted cars will get banned from being driven in some European countries. Work with somebody who will produce a car that will get through the German TÜV. That way you can take it anywhere in Europe without worries.

A Decat is illegal in the UK also, there is just low chance you will get caught.

There is a very high chance a de-catted car from the UK will be stopped in Germany or Switzerland, for example, because the local rozzers can test for this, and the Poms have form.

If you take a de-catted car into some European countries it will be banned from being driven - you won't just get a penalty notice. Worst case, it will be impounded. (native English usage and grammar)

Just a little comment and thing to consider regarding warranty. An exhaust shouldnt void the warranty for any component other than the exhaust itself. however once a car has been modified a manufacturer or dealer will try to use that as an excuse to not repair the car, most likely arguing that the flow characteristics have been changed therefore making the engine run different than intended. But i wouldnt let that pit anyone off just be more willing to argue should you need warranty work doing.

In the USA your warranty would be void on the drivetrain due to increased power as most cars see. And you the car owner would have to provide proof that no impact has been made... Good luck. Not saying you can't just switch parts back before service.

Keep the Catalytic converter. I'm all for mods but this shits on the environment. Also, it stinks when you remove it. That said I am anxious to see what you choose and how it sounds! i like the sound of the Cayman, compared to my 2.0 4 cyl it's lovely. yes it might improve with a better exhaust, but all the negativity sucks. seriously Pauls never even checked the oil in his AMG GT according to him.
