This robot can drive on all four wheels at 14 mph or stand on two legs and navigate a staircase. Designed by ETH Zurich's Swiss-Mile team, it’s an autonomous transformer delivery bot. However, its developers expect it to be a key member of search-and-rescue teams by 2030.

It sounded like the AI is just designed to value succeeding at the training tasks and dislike failing them. Unless I'm misunderstanding, the guy said it weird, but it's basically just intrinsic punishment/reward, not extrinsic like we normally think of punishment/reward.
