What comic does this story come from i only remember Thor and Shazam fighting one time in the Marvel vs DC crossover event , Thor beat him in less than 5mins Shazam's power comes from lighting and Thor is the God of Lighting so Thor canceled Billys power no Capt. Pretty much. Shazam is tough and his speed is super impressive but Thor is stronger, more durable, way more skilled, vastly more experienced, has a plethora of other abilities. Thor is just more powerful.

@sammy-gd7hw Bud, Shazam's best planetary feats absolutely pale compared to Thor's multi-planetary or universal feats and that's not even mentioning far, FAR greater striking strength. So aside from speed, Thor outclasses Shazam in every single area and it's not even close.

@@sammy-gd7hw Doubt it. Thor has always done feats that vastly surpass Shazam's best efforts. Aside from the Book of Infinity feat (where he had help and the book itself doesn't have infinite weight to begin with), Shazam has never pulled off multi-planetary feats by himself like how Thor has. There isn't a single instance where Shazam has proven to have better muscles than Thor.

CAP WINS! Because... Ok, if Solomon wisdom kicks in, he plans to get the hammer when he figures he is worthy (wisdom of Solomon, again). If Thor loses grip of the hammer for a second. Speed of Mercury kicks in grabs it and he is wailing on Thor (to the best of my knowledge Thor lacks super speed)...repeatedly (plus stamina of Atlas, so he's doing it all day long). This accompanied with the power of Zeus and strength of Hercules... he wins. He even has a leg up on Superman in beating Thor as he wouldn't be susceptible to Thor's lightning (magic, but not one of the Shazam gods, so niether should have a leg up with using lightning). If Thor's ridiculously upgraded like they've made him lately, then Thor would most likely be the victor. Otherwise, I'm going with The Captain.

I like Thor, I just can't see him winning in the long run. If thor doesn't kill/knock out shazaam early on, Shazaam will simply plummet Thor. Shazaam has a lot of untapped powered, superior speed (hits said he is faster than superman), practically invulnerable. I think if he loses, it will definitely be due to lack of experience and his immaturity. If it was Black Adam, thor would be killed quickly. I loved that Billy is able to lift Thors Hammer.

Base Thor is more powerful than Shazam and has greater feats. When you add in the different incarnations of Thor like Cosmic King Thor and Rune King Thor it isn't even close.

Thor has also lost to weaker opponents has well and has no experience fighting speedsters like Shazam. It really comes down to writer honestly. If they let Shazam use his speed like he really is capable of, it would be almost impossible for Thor to get a hit. Also not sure if Thor really is more durable, with the stamina of Atlas shazam can survive without ever need food or water ever.

Well, yes, but Marvel Thor and Norse Thor are pretty different. For instance, Norse Thor has red hair, and he doesn't fly by holding on to his hammer. Stan still gets credit because a lot of Marvel Thor was his creation.

@dcclark8870 Nah. Thor's lifting feats blow Shazam's out of the water. Thor usually operates at multi planet level and has even reversed the World Tree which houses 9 universes. Shazam hasn't done anything to compare. Plus Thor can also punch hard enough to shake the world without Mjolnir.
