there basically god tier tie fighters but the normal ties can go in space more and can be mass produced ...so they don't like the strikers as much

Funny how the Striker apparently was loved by those who actually got into the cockpit, and hated by those who were supposed to integrate it into battle strategy. I’d love to stick one of those lofty officers in a Tie cockpit for a single engagement, and see if he changes his mind ( if he lives)

I can see the tie striker used heavily by planetary defense force in atmosphere, i like the design. Next to the strikers the hunters, phantom, predator, and interceptor are my favorite ties.

In Universe they were. The Empire generally didn't like specialization, which was one of their biggest flaws as a military.

Depends, if they’re in atmosphere the Striker would win as it’s one of the fastest ships in atmosphere in the Galaxy. If we’re in space then the A wing would win as the A wing is designed for space dogfighting

The TIE striker looks very much like an atmospheric craft designed for defending imperial installations on the ground, when tie fighter support is either not avalible or unable to operate... as for my favorite tie varient.... I don't like any TIe fighter they are honestly too cheaply designed for my lking.
