Btw I play 20-20 sense and I feel because of that the results are that more significant. For example the slowdown at close range makes the sensitivity change from 20 down too drastic and screws up my consistency.

Rotational Aim Assist is NOT just another form of „slowdown“. It actively pulls the center of your crosshair towards the center of the enemy’s hitbox - As soon as your crosshair are within the aim assist activation bubble. One of the inherent problem with it RAA is not the size of the bubble, but the strength of the gravitational pull towards center. Another problem, which is far worse, especially if you are on MnK and play against controller people, is that RAA has a reaction time of 0ms, while we humans have a reaction time that averages at 250ms - This creates a fundamental problem with tracking. You guys can adjust to a change of direction with a moving target much faster than we on MnK can. Think about it, RAA pulls your crosshair left/right before you actively make the input on your stick. It creates a kind of consistency that MnK players can simply not humanly replicate. I have recently played a couple 1v1s against a really good Controller player I have met in pubs. We did two 1v1s with his AA on - In which he absolutely and utterly handed my ass to me (20:7 & 20:11 I think) .. And then two 1v1s with his AA off - In which I absolutely handed his ass to him (20:5 & 20:10). Now he himself said that, and I quote: „Nah you’re decent, mouse and keyboard is harder because aim assist is just ridiculously strong in this game“. Good controller players know that RAA is too strong, good controller players know that they have the utter advantage. It’s ultimately kind of frustrating to see that the mouse skills you have worked so hard for have more or less become meaningless, simply because Activision decided to make the game favor controller players that much more. 99% of pros are on Controller, the MnK community in this game is shrinking further and further because Activision, or rather SHG doesn’t want to do anything about it. And it sucks even more to be told by literal noobs to „get better“ „git gud“ or „If controller is so op, why don’t you switch to it“ or „We have only our thumbs, you have your whole arm“. Now I‘m not saying that AA should be removed, I think controller players need some kind of support to stand their ground against MnKers - No AA would be highly unfair for you guys.. But there must be a way to balance the inputs. Either by removing RAA and leave the traditional slowdown AA in the game, or, and this is the more likely option, to significantly nerf RAA‘s strength by at least 50% AND by adding a delay in its reaction time ~ 175ms would be sufficient. That way, the inhuman aspect of it would vanish, it would add a significant skill gap, and it would make the inputs much more balanced.

Nerfing aim assist would make MnK superior once again. RAA rarely ever pulls towards the target, you usually have to move your right stick in order to get the stickiness effect. Also, to clarify, PC, when it comes to aiming, is far smoother and easier than controller. Controller feels rugged, and clunky in this game compared to other CoDs. And like you've said, "With AA on, I got destroyed, and WIth AA off, I destroyed the controller player". SO either way, no one is winning, both inputs will never be balanced because of how many advantages that these input devices have. (No hate to you btw)

This explains so much lmao. I play 20-20 linear and use black ops and here was what I used to think. Default gave me better aim up close but worse long range and black ops was harder to control close range but far I have amazing accuracy. The black ops aim asssit is to strong up close and it slows it down super hard and breaks off fast making me miss my shots if my centering was not good. I get slide locked hard to lol.

Wow I felt the EXACT opposite, I felt better hit registration on black ops up close and long range BOPS AA would literally repel me away from center chest and head, but once I get into the chest area it sticks but sadly it bounces off depending on guns recoil pattern, default allows me to get into the AA bubble and shoot longer range but up close I for sure have trouble because it doesn’t LOCK on?

@@iW3RK I can always lock on from distance. My controller has a 1000 polling rate which may explain it unless u have the same. I generally ads with my center dot as close to the body as possible and it locks on like crazy I also strafe to correct the lock. But I have experience what ur talking about a couple times

Rotational aim assist does yes but it's also not what half the people that stream/make yt content make it out to be. Plenty of people showcase that it can help you stay on target but its nothing like an aim bot/trigger bot/soft aim, I used to be strictly kbm when i had a pc. Now i'm stuck with consol kekw

Custom .90 is the same as setting it to 1. All custom does is let you get say sens of 2.5 or 3.5. Its default is 120 which is 4. 115 is 3.5. 110 is 3. 106 is 2.5.

I'm on ps4 and i play 13H sens and 12V sens with lineaire / BO and i have no problem on close fights i win all of them but for far range i can't do the mini adjustments to stay on target and follow it even tho i move left stick , any advice ?

Aim assist also is affected by your ads sense multi.. higher ads multi gives stronger aim assist for farther targets and lower is better for up close. Also I reccomend trying 3 min 27 max left stick deadzone you will get waaay less dead slides

@jayyclips8358 I wouldn't say it's better per say. But it will definitely give you much stronger aim assist up close. Could be too much aim assist slowdown for your liking or it could be perfect for you. At the end of the day it's all preference. For me my settings that work perfectly are 20/20 custom 4.00/4.00 vert/hori Linear curve/ default aim assist 2 min 26 max left stick deadzone 1 min 84 max right stick deadzone .85 ads 1x .90 2-3x 1.00 4-5x 1.40 6-7x 1.50 8x + Super sticky aim assist but I have the ability to "disengage" very quickly if needed for movement. And my movement from an enemies pov looks like pc movement iv been told (breaking cameras and enemy aim assist) get called a cheater constantly as well because I have nice smooth tracking but I can snap to a target of screen and land on them dead center mass because of RAA. I essentially spent hours tuning my settings with aim assist OFF until I was continuously on target then turned it back on and fine tuned it till I had the strength of aim assist that was comfortable for me to engage/disengage depending on a combo of my right and left stick movements. Good centering is also very key.. Essentially I just practiced for hours and messed with my settings until I was dropping regular high kill gameplay. I play mostly solo squads. Practice is what allows players to be consistent who would've thought lmao

Deadzones are different for ppl depending on there analogs, some controllers are great and need 0 dz and some need 4 or 5dz , so I wouldn't recommend trying someone deadzone minimum, test it out with your controller until your crosshairs stops moving and alot of pros recommend 65 left stick max
