Carmine...I'm an old guy compared to you. I already know these things about supply/demand. I watch you videos over and over as a reminder to keep my mind on these concepts. We older guys sometimes forget...Keep doing your thing brother. You're helping us keep our head in the game and looking for the only thing that really matters...Supply/Demand zones

I’ve come to believe that “monolithic technical analysis” and indicators represent the desire for certainty. For something solid and tangible to grasp on to that can be relied on. Using only price and volume requires a comfort level with uncertainty. And with that an understanding that you need to “listen” to what the market is saying rather than fitting your own ideas into the narrative. Absolutely loved this video Carmine!

For the newer traders. Difference between selloff and pullback. Selloff: At open, multiple powerful candles to downside, very little interruption by green candles, sideways consolidation, flat bottom breakdown. Small candles begin trending below MAs. Pullback: At open, market flushes, however interruption by strong green candles, pushes down are quickly followed by a lot of larger engulfing green candles, MAs continually broken, instead of sideway consolidations you retracements to the upside, you see double bottoms etc.

If you are trading a large or mega cap, look at the daily, if there are 3-5 days in a row of green or red candles you know a reversal will soon be coming and the trend will break... only enter at a supply or demand zone and immediately cut your losses if it goes against you, rinse and repeat It is called law of averages, 1 trade wont make you, but it sure can break you, take your profits, don't use full buying power if you haven't figured out the direction yet

True. Price action does not follow indicators, indicators follow price action...Nothing beats price levels, price action has memory and over 95 percent it remembers previous levels. I normally trade based of key price levels.

Fun Fact: Every market condition provides excellent opportunities trade, as long as there is enough volume. Range days. Buy off support (i.e bottom of range) set conservative profit target for center of range. Sell off demand (i.e. top of range) set profit target center of the range. Simple.

I'd agree to not rely only on indicators but I use volume and momentum indicators as well as moving averages to filter out and pin point entries. I find it works really well.
@ReheatedDonut2 жыл бұрын
what momentum indicator do you use? I'm using the composite index (it's like RSI but with a momentum calculation) to look for divergences in or at supply/demand to confirm the trades.
@The4wakenedTrader2 жыл бұрын
@@ReheatedDonut yeah so I use a combination. Called cipher b. It uses the money flow index which also combines rsi with volume. I set it to a period of 50. I use the wave trend to compare the size of the peaks to determine whether momentum is bullish or bearish. Works well.

Volume needs to be declining in demand and supply zones. So should the atr. You can also look at the candlestick that the hit the zone and you can see that close of the candlestick is away from the high or low, indicating absorption and a reversal in price action. Bear flags show sell side liquidity, the trend line is showing me it.

I used to have different indicators on my (forex) charts in testing them. I abandoned them all except for RSI and ATR. On RSI, I only look for divergences and I use the ATR in helping set my SL if need be. But I have them minimized 90% of the time if not a little more.

Yes but a lot of time price does not respect supply and demand zones. On my memory it is like 50 50 . It can rip massive supply zone or make tiny pullback before break supply zone. Anything is not reliable enough. So risk management is key. I prefer breakouts and hope that some of them will turn to home run

For the people that don’t know how to trade and are first timers should not start trading with out any knowledge you will get destroyed. Believe me…..I advise to paper trade Like Carmine suggest’s and learn. The only thing….. It’s a lot different when you are using your actual money because real emotions start kicking in when things don’t go your way. You Should not start dumping money in the stock market being new, especially during these times. If you have some cash laying around and you are able to buy good companies at huge discounts and hold them until the market gets better may not be a bad idea. You will never beat Marker Makers/ Hedge funds etc. It’s a corrupt system. Once you get to know what you are doing which may take a long time….then you can branch off into scalping options leaps covered calls etc. But Carmine is legit!!!!!
