I will disagree with you and here is why: I voted for Trump in 2020 and 2024 not because of his charisma but because i really thought he did a good job as president from 2016 to 2020. I really do not think Trump is charismatic and charming. However, I will grant you that he is unstifled and never at a loss for words. That was his entire debate strategy in fact. He is too naricissistic and overconfident to even bother practicing for a debate. As a result he walked right into the debate with Harris and got totally ambushed by the ABC crew. He held his own only because he is unflappable. Harris's body language was calm and relaxed, and she laughed with that big white warm and charming smile and definitely had the catbird seat (she was fed the questions by ABC two weeks in advance). Whereas Trump's body language and ugly facial expressions during the debate made me cringe. As I was watching the debate, it was my unbiased perception that Kamala won the debate from a body language perspective. Donnie won it because he was holding his own against three opponents. When Donnie made the remark about immigrants eating pets, many democrats saw that he had sunk himself with a huge racist conspiracy theorist gaffe. But many undecided voters saw his pet eating remarks as a man who deeply cares about defending America from illegal alien invaders and did not care that he was being politically incorrect in the process of dishing the real dirt.
