FOUND IT!! What is FECO? FECO stands for “full extract cannabis oil.” It is a thick oil, usually dark in color, that is normally consumed from either a syringe or packed in capsules. The main thing to remember about FECO oil is that it is very highly concentrated. Also, like the name implies, it is “full spectrum.” This is a key component of what sets FECO apart as a helper for many physical conditions.

Love this! ♥️ As you said, none of the known look alikes, some which you showed, are toxic/posionous (purple toothed polypore etc) and I believe some of them are also being studied to look closer at their beneficial uses and constituents as well. A couple that come to mind, are the Multicolor gilled polypore and the Thin walled maze polypore 👍
@frankthiele65399 ай бұрын
i always also collect some of this look alikes, cause i think so.
@UntamedScience9 ай бұрын
Man, there are is a lot of nuance to it, isn't there. To some people all mushrooms look alike. To others a purple toothed polypore looks like turkey tail. I was trying to say that if you eliminate the ones like purple toothed polypores, and others that definitely don't look like turkey tail, then you're pretty safe. Hard to say. I guess I'm just trying not to make people too overly fearful of mushrooming (which is why I didn't load it with a ton of disclaimers). I probably should - and will for more dangerous ones like Amanitas.

🦃 Medicinal mushrooms like Turkey Tail, have been approved adjuncts to standard cancer treatments in Japan and China for more than 30 𝔂𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓼, and have an extensive clinical history of safe use as single agents or combined with radiation therapy or chemotherapy. Trametes versicolor --- aka Coriolus versicolor and Polyporus versicolor - a common polypore mushroom found throughout the world. Meaning 'of several colors', versicolor accurately describes this fungus which displays a unique blend of markings. You can take a Turkey Tail tincture anytime of the day, with or without food. While Turkey Tail yields efficacious outcomes for patients with gastric cancer, it has also benefited patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Turkey tail glucan products (PSP or PSK), have been safely consumed @ doses of 1 gram or more per day for up to 10 years in cancer patients. Turkey tail mushrooms and their extracts may also be beneficial for brain function. Cell damage caused by oxidative stress may contribute to neurological disorders like Alzheimer's disease. An increased immune system response, like that caused by turkey tail mushrooms, may help reduce this cellular stress. Additionally, the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of turkey tail mushrooms may also play a role in reducing blood pressure. Chronic inflammation and oxidative stress can contribute to the development of hypertension, and reducing these factors can help improve blood pressure control. Medications for diabetes (Anti-diabetes drugs) interact with Turkey tail mushroom, it might lower blood sugar levels. Taking turkey tail mushroom along with diabetes medications might cause blood sugar to drop too low. Although the risk is low, those who do report experiencing adverse effects after taking Turkey Tail mushrooms note any of these 6 symptoms: Heartburn. Cold and flu symptoms. Constipation and stomach pain. Side Effects of Turkey Tail Mushrooms Gastrointestinal issues (bloating, gas, stomach pain, nausea) Constipation. Cold and flu symptoms. Low blood pressure. Low blood sugar. Low white blood cell count. Heart palpitation. Rash.

If you bought Turkey tail extract you can look to see if it is already hot water extracted - essentially they do what I talked about in the tea, then spray it onto a surface, let it dry and then use that powder for supplements. If that's the case you don't have to make a tea, you can just add it to a smoothie or ingest the pill. Even better, some do both a hot water extraction and an alcohol extraction. I didn't talk about the later as I think the best compounds are water soluble. It could have some good benefits as well though.

Ps @untamedscience could the taoist mushroom of life somehow not be ganoderma etc but a mixture? Ones that aid in meditation, heck even Yin Yang like in their distribution?
@UntamedScience9 ай бұрын
I haven't studied the "Taoist mushroom of life" but I want to do a video on Ganoderma in the future. I'll definitely do a deep dive on the legends at that time though. Thanks for the comment.

There is clearly a way to study it, but someone would have to fork over some $$ - maybe a nation that is invested in people's health. At the very minimum a nation that has to fork over the bill for people's health. Hard to say. For now, we're living in a slightly broken system...

So, just to make sure I got this right: PSK and PSP are only found in the mycelium, not in the caps.... This means, if we talk about foraging, that one has to disturb the underground mushroom (this IS the actual mushroom, the "ears" on the trees are the fruit of the mushroom). If lots of people go and dig out the actual mushroom in nature, we would soon decimate its natural propagation.... would you agree? Thanks for addressing this, when you have a moment!

so why the hell is it illegal to sell in France??
@UntamedScience9 ай бұрын
Roger... why the heck is it illegal to sell in France? That's insane. Makes no sense. Is that universal for natural medicines or something? Is it meant to keep people from overharvesting natural products do you think? In the US there are some things like that - you can't sell your own deer or duck meat. That's just to make sure it's not overharvested and exploited. Makes sense to me in that respect. I suppose the solution is to teach people to collect their own turkey tail.

Don’t tell the Drs. They will put a price on it and make into a prescribtion
@johnwyman61268 ай бұрын
It's too widely distributed for that. So, since it can't be contained, and kept from the majority of people, nobody can make a whole bunch of money off of it. Therefore, the pharmaceutical companies will not do any testing on it, and since there's no testing on it, the AMA will not approve it, and if it's not approved by the AMA the doctors aren't allowed to tell us about it. The absolute greed is incredible.
