Why Ukraine's Zelenskyy flew to the Philippines to visit President Marcos

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday, June 3, that he visited Manila to personally invite Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to the upcoming Swiss peace summit on Ukraine on June 15. According to the wartime leader, Marcos confirmed his attendance at the conference, an event that Russia decried as meaningless.

You need to cross the Indian Ocean, pass thru the Red Sea, cross the Suez Canal in Egypt, and pass thru the Bosphorus Straight in Turkiye to get to Ukraine. Think, bro. Use your coconut. The Philippines has a budget deficit and cannot contribute money to Ukraine. The Philippines has no spare weapons or fighter jets. Sending Filipino troops to Ukraine is out of the question.
