Taya, this is not a movie, it is what we call here in the west "reality TV show " this show is called " 90 Day Fiancee". So the show you were watching are a real couple. However the company that runs the show makes money off of stupidity such as what you just showed. My sister watches this show, but I can't. Unfortunately I have a low tolerance for stupid. And there is a lot of it on this show. What you just watched was a sample. There are episodes worse than this that you just seen. But keep this in mind, some of it is scripted, but not all. We here in America, not all of us are this stupid. However we get a bad reputation, because unfortunately for everyone's entertainment, stupid sells.

I absolutely agree. I met my Ukrainian wife when she visited america on a vacation. We connected through the internet and built our relatinship traveling to see each other. I found out very quickly it would be better for me to move to Ukraine to be with her because it was easier for me to adapt to the cultural shock than it would have been for her.

Yes, there are many who emigrated to the US legally thought life would be easy from day one. Of course, there were those who married US citizens who were already financially stable and decided to have kids and be a housewife. But to simply have a green card doesn't guarantee you will live a life of comfort. Many foreigners start from the bottom like office cleaners, dishwashers, warehouse help, and other manual labor jobs even though they were engineers, lawyers, and corporate managers in their countries.

A green card is the same as a resident card. It proves you are legally in the country. I married a lady from another country and brought her here. She goes back to visit her country nearly every year. The US was a culture shock for her. The US is not perfect. After I am dead, I think she will move back to her country. She has family and relatives there. For me, it would be hard to move to her country because it is so different there compared to here. We do well together but she still longs for her country.

When I consider dating a woman outside America, I always assume that I'll move to her. Cross-cultural relationships are complicated since partners have to sort out what's a cultural difference vs a misunderstanding of language vs an interpersonal difference. The major benefit of moving to her is that she can create a bubble in which we can adapt to the new culture a bit more gently. A new culture can feel very isolating; by going to her, we gain someone who can explain why things are done as they are, help us with language, and embed us into the new culture more quickly by introducing us to friends and family. I'm unusually portable and also unusually well-travelled, so for me, assuming that I'll move has nothing but upsides. I did briefly dive into the sewer of online dating. Amid the endless repetitions of, "I want to feel safe, like behind a high stone wall" (this specific phrase is Lesson #1 at Moscow's gold digger academies), I encountered a handful of fantastic women. Most were from (though not necessarily in) Ukraine. The women who were in Ukraine all said that they couldn't possibly leave, citing obligations to their families and the small and important ways they were contributing to the war effort. I have deep respect for both of those sentiments. The "green card" phenomenon certainly still exists, but I tend to look at it the other way around. 🙂 The "sponsor" phenomenon is FAR more common. To your comment about the difficulty of career change because of the non-validity of degrees earned elsewhere, yes! I've met Persian civil engineers who operate shovels and Iraqi doctors who drive taxis. It's HARD. My own family encountered this when we moved to America from Germany: my aunt had to nearly repeat her Nursing training and my mom gave up her licensure as a pharmacist to build a different career. Thanks for your video, and for tackling this particular stereotype! The last part of your video, the segment about living a "pampered refugee lifestyle," made me laugh! 🤣😂

One last note, I observed many older Ukrainian woman sweeping up the grounds and sidewalks in many cities and towns in Ukraine. They were in small three of four women groups. They did this in the parks and other places. I saw proud women and I viewed then no more and no less as other working Ukrainians. The difference between America and Ukraine is that in America sweeping up the sidewalks and grounds as a full-time job is considered an inferior job and it is viewed that way, but it is viewed differently in Ukraine. The older women did it with dignity and they were proud women. Also, in the same vein, I went all over Ukraine for nearly two months, and while I found that civilians respected soldiers, I became to understand, that the soldiers view civilians differently because of their own experiences and particularly those experiences with their own units. Too many civilians ignore the fact that individual soldiers need more money to help them fight against russians and while many pedestrians on the street as they walk by donate to soldiers who sit next to their military vehicle with their inventive donation boxes in front of them, too many pass by and ignore them without giving money. While soldiers are busy and deserve their privacy as they walk around the busy cities of L'viv and Odesa for example, the best way Ukrainians can show their support of their soldiers is to give individual soldiers who need and ask for more money so they can buy better military uniforms and drones, whether in boxes, which is the easiest and most direct way or via their websites or personal bank accounts. Ukrainians know about other volunteer groups like Благодійний фонд "Світлодар" in Kharkiv. I personally know the staff and the officer/doctor who runs this operation in Kharkiv that receives donated goods and money and then who distributes it to soldiers and civilians and children. I have seen the boxes for infants and the medical supplies for soldiers. I have been to the operational center in Kharkiv and I have been in it and I've seen it.

People in Ukraine take pride in their country. They keep it clean. In the US there is no more pride in all the big cities. They are covered in filth and everyone thinks they are too important to do anything useful in society. Have another participation award. Ignore top talent and promote using DEI and cronyism instead. People need to have their IQ tattooed on their foreheads in the US to bring them back down to earth.

Recently separated, I have checked out some of the Ukrainian dating sites. There are a lot of beautiful women on them, but I do have to question their motive for wanting to find a partner and perhaps move abroad. War is a good, if not, terrible reason to want to leave, but it makes me wonder, what or whom they left behind, a boyfriend, or ex-husband with ties to his children, I certainly hope not, that would be terrible. Coming to the US is not the hard part, thousands do it every day illegally. The hard part is staying in the US legally, if that is what a person wants. Now that I am separated and months away from retiring, I have looked abroad to retire in a couple of other countries. I believe if you move to another country, you have to immerse yourself in the language, culture and traditions of that country. You can't go to another country and say hey I'm American speak English or give me a break on this or that, it doesn't work that way.

Ukraine will be a seen as strong country very soon. хуйlo will not last very much longer. Too many losses. There are many great Ukrainians teaching their language on KZbin. My new favorite is red purple Ukrainian. I would pick a music video to a song I love and walk through all the words until I can sing along. Duolingo is not bad. Two bands I like make Ukrainian covers of American music. Grandma’s Smuzi and Hold My Borscht. There are hundreds of great artists. Pick one song and learn it. It’s hard learning a new language when you’re older but don’t forget to learn the simple polite phrases. Making an effort goes a long way. Разом ми переможемо

The more I think about it, the less I believe that it is wise for Eastern European women to come to America. I have dealt with several Ukrainians who live and work in America and have for a long time but they never seem to ever become comfortable here. They tend to stay together with other Ukrainians and resist contact with anyone outside of their group. There is a rather large Ukrainian community near me and any time I have done business with them, they never seem to warm up. When I have had the need to go to a Ukrainian business to discuss something with a representative, as soon as they heard my American accent, everyone would get quiet and their eyes would dart around at each other like I was with the FBI and they were all guilty of something. Yes there is danger, but honestly our world is not getting safer and we only live once. The food, people and historic buildings in Lviv are amazing.

There are many advantages to living in America but I would rather move to Ukraine. She is very close with her family and she loves her country. I would never take her away from her family and her country. I love Ukraine, even with problems. Slava Ukraini! 💙💛

If you can make $24k in Ukraine then you can be a millionaire in Ukraine. I make twice that and live far more comfortably in Ukraine than I did in the US. I gave my wife the option to live somewhere else but she wanted to stay here in Lviv.

Can you explain me how many Ukrainians can allow themselves to buy luxury cars, designer clothes, the latest flagship smartphone, surgeries etc? At least the ones we see in the streets of Europe since 2 years are like that. I've asked Taya for feedback but her answer was relatively evasive saying that not all Ukraine people were like that. What Kind of business do you make in UA to allow yourself so much luxury (at least the hundreds of UA people I see in Brussels are acting like that) Thanks in advance for your insight
@epiczeus945
@epiczeus945 Ай бұрын
@@christiand8243 I have often asked myself the same thing. I'm in my late 40's and retired from the US military and the US Government. Like I said I am able to live a good life here however I can't buy million dollar homes, Tesla's, Mercedes, and BMWs like I see Ukrainians here in Lviv. Granted this is not all Ukrainians. The Ukrainians that could afford to leave and wanted to leave, left. Many could not afford to leave. Lviv is one of the highest paid cities in Ukraine and the average income here is 22,000 hryvnia or about $568 per month. So privileged Ukrainians are definitely in the minority. The highest paid people here are in the IT industry and they're in demand everywhere so that may account for some. Wealth here is generational like anywhere else, that may account for some. Also housing here can be very cheap. When my wife and I first started dating I was living in the city center, however now a few months after being married we live in the house her father left her. It's still in Lviv, but I pay no rent and no mortgage, only utilities. So for the most part those people you see that left Ukraine probably have jobs in the IT field which is a very popular field here. It makes employment outside Ukraine very easy and very profitable.

In Germany and Belgium, Ukrainian refugees are still welcome and receive the same social benefits as native German and Belgian citizens. We have a very different society than the US. We pay much higher taxes. Without the war, Ukrainians would have to take many German, French or Dutch lessons to get a working visa or a visa to study here. After the Ukrainian victory, all war refugees who have not found a job or passed language tests will have to leave the EU. Ukraine's accession to the European Union will take at least eight years, but it may take twenty.

Many Ukrainians dream of becoming part of the European family and have therefore included in the Ukrainian constitution that Ukraine should become an EU member state. There are not too many cultural differences between Poles and Ukrainians. Incidentally, about 20% of “native Germans” have Slavic roots. However, the language barrier between Ukrainian and German is somewhat higher. Ukrainians and Poles learn German faster than native English speakers.

This is just one couple from before the war. I've been to Ukraine four times since the war and once just to Poland. I've never found any woman who wanted to seriously come to America. I don't know why someone would want to leave Ukraine for America. I think the Ukrainian women would not like America. Maybe another country closer to Ukraine might be okay, like what this woman said when she selected Budapest. I've only known War Time-Ukraine and it is so different now from before February 24, 202. I'm not an expert about why some might find America a great place to live or not. Many women with their children who left Ukraine for other European countries when the war started have returned. When I first arrived and traveled to Kyvi from Przemysl, Poland, May of 2022, less than three months after the war had started, the railway train was full of women and children were returning to Ukraine and Kyiv. I just returned to U.S.A. via Warszawa five days ago, 13/8 and when I passed through Poland's border guards and customs on the railway train, the Polish official treated not just the Ukrainian woman who were returning to or passing through Poland in a rather mean and tough manner, but also me. I didn't feel welcome to be back in Poland at all. Matter of fact, the woman official made me very unwelcomed to be entering Poland. She made everyone feel this way. She told one young 20 something what she had said could not be true. But it was true. The official just changed the topic and started to talk to another woman. I have always gone through either Warszawa or Krakow before entering or leaving Ukraine and America and I have spent a lot of money in Poland. After this experience, I changed my Warszawa plans and spent a lot less money in Poland as I passed through. I'm glad I was only going to be in Poland for a day rather than several days as I have in the past. Lot Airline of Poland is pretty good airline, and it has a direct flight from Chicago to Warszawa, but maybe I'll try another country entry point next time. This was not the first time I've had issues with Poland's border guards. Maybe they have read my comments on my KZbin channel about their border, and they didn't like it. (I doubt they know about it and they treated me like everyone else) This impacts a person's phycological being. Ukrainian women are treated this way, and it makes them feel less as a human being. It has a harmful impact, when it serves no purpose. It has impacted me which is why I have complained in the past about passing through Poland's border. Was it a sadistic joke? If felt like I was entering a communist country like some scenes from the movies. Admittedly, it was not as tense as passing through Check Point Charlie in West Berlin. After the Polish official had finished with the carriage, and had departed, none of the Ukrainian woman objected or made fun of the official. I accepted it like all the others but my mind was still reeling. My first reaction when I heard a few months ago that Poland may be developing the largest army in Europe, I thought it was a bad idea. Poland did not come across as an open country in the sense of a liberal democracy. This was just an underlying feeling I got from the Poles.
