Why use Heel Straps?

This is kinda weird but, why not use a snowboard binding? I mean, 2 straps are better than 1 if you think about control but also in case of a crash if one foot get out of the binding and the other does not, you way twist a full leg and really hurt yourself. What do you think about using a snowboard style binding?

Snowboard bindings work pretty well actually, just take the high back off and pad the heel cup. Just depends on how locked in you want to be.

I'm not comfortable with both feet using heel strap. I just use heel strap on my lead foot.

I bought a colt 90 with f1 Velcro straps and they feel very loose whenever I move the board around I jump or anything. Should I replace the straps with better ones or get a heel strap?

The F5 Binding and F5 heel strap would be a great combo for you
