Love this very insightful podcast Rachel and Bruce! I think of the FAA forcing our most experienced and therefore safest to fly pilots, to retire at a relatively young age of 60. I mean if surgeons can do the most intricate of surgeries well past that age, why can’t the most experienced commercial pilot still serve?

I agree that retirement can be a negative thing.,but here you are in you 30's and 40's saying no one should retire. Try being a floor nurse in a hospital or a construction worker, or someone with cancer and trust me you will have to retire to save your health especially in your 60's or even younger. Add 30 years and you would change your mind! And you will be GLAD you have money for it.

Thank you for watching! Not retiring does not mean doing the same type of work your whole life. That would be crazy to expect that someone would just keep doing the same thing their entire life. The point is that there is no point at which somebody becomes useless; there is no point at which you are incapable of serving God's other children. We see this in the bible: In the book of Numbers, we are introduced to a set of priests with less than desirable job duties. They must drag animal carcasses and perform sacrifices (Numbers 8:24). God tells Moses that these priests “shall withdraw from the legion of those who do this work and no longer do that work. Is this a biblical reference to retirement? No. Toward the end of Numbers 8, God declares that these older priests “shall minister with his brethren in the tent of meeting.” They are still doing a very important job and getting paid for it. It’s just a different job. God recognizes that the physical labor of dragging around heavy carcasses is no longer suitable for a priest at the age of fifty. These older priests are moved into an elevated advisory position.

Lots of rambling with little time given to the concept at hand. Why Insurance is a bad idea to retirement planning. Insurance can be a great part of retirement planning but no single leg of the retirement stool should be depended upon wholly. diversification is key. This video missed the mark taking a one sided approach. Room for improvement
