@@spitfire2885 Play the video again and listen to Mariana say “gringo tax” price. This is what the unknowing tourist and expats pay and some are cluelessly thinking they are saving money but they could be getting rent and other things cheaper 😮 Mariana suggested to learn some Spanish and negóciate. Or find a Spanish speaking person maybe a realtor to help you. Maybe Mariana’s faster speaking due to being Hispanic interfered with hearing that part. ❤

I love the vids and photos about out of the way towns. Many of us don't want to live in a huge city, or we are past our fun-in-the-sun beach days. As a gardener and health nut, I would be interested in small sized cities or towns near farming or food growing areas. Somewhere I could have my own garden or orchard, and keep chickens or bees. Great video!!

Valladolid looks to be right up my alley. It's quiet, tranquil, small and simple and out of the way. Easily walkable and not so touristy. I have to visit and check it out. Great Video!

@@MexicoRelocationGuide, I've not seen you report on Veracruz or Tampico. I spent two nights in Tampico, and 29 nights in Veracruz. I was satisfactorily impressed with Hotel Lois. I liked seeing so many Hispanic families vacationing in Veracruz. More cultural than beaches.

Oh, Valladolid! This town really stole my heart on my first visit in 2019. I was just there for my 3rd visit last November, and already want to go back :) My dream is to retire there, or at least have a vacation home there to get away to during the winter months. Thank you so much for this informative video- I've tried to look into how much it would cost to live there and haven't had much luck. I definitely need to learn Spanish, lol.

I visited Valladolid yesterday and feel in love with this town instantly. Your video was one of the few that I really enjoyed and learned a lot about this town. I plan to make a two week trip later this year. Will keep you updated.

We really like Valladolid for the calmness and the walkability. Food there is great as well, especially on the street that runs from cenote Zaci to the mercado.

Voy a regresar a Texas y regresaré aquí pero quiero investigar varias otras partes ❤ Valladolid is for sure on my list. The prices have to be less that this tourist overrun place I have spent now over a year in. 🔥 Yes, I spent one summer and it’s getting to close to that now! Gracias por su video. Hasta pronto. ❤

Thanks Valladolid looks great except the heat. We purchased the Relocation Guide but have yet to find our place in Mexico. Mariana, could you touch on being able to purchase organic vegetables more consistently in your videos…we are Vegan so that would be helpful. Also, you mention pharmacies, hospitals but we tend towards being able to purchase homeopathic remedies or herbals for health…we’re really attempting to be actively healthy and out of hospitals. Art supplies and classes would also be of interest…so far in our search Chapala area and San Miguel de Allende look to have some of this….or do we have to order alll our supplies….I’m sure Mexico City would have them too. Thanks again, we appreciate your videos.

I presently live in SE Georgia USA, this town looks lovely but maybe abit too small and quiet for my wishes. I strongly prefer being near a beach. I have been to Merida, Progresso and envens, Guadalajara, Lake Chapala and La Paz BCS. La Paz seems to offer me more of what I seek. Planning a return trip late Spring early Summer.

I settled down here 8 years ago, now I don't see the time when I may finally leave, because I cannot stand the suffocating hot season, from mid March till final week of June, when the rainy season finally starts. The sidewalks are narrow, not even, full of holes and bumps and people don't plant trees and you walk on top of a Comal. People throw their dogs into the streets and they are full of tics and scabbies and defecate outside. The Pitufos architecture is ugly, with very low ceilings.
