Why Valve NEEDS To Make Day of Defeat 2

This is the most underrated game ever.Just think of the alternative univers which valve added all the classes from dod to dod:s and actually cared about the game and made dod2.

I think they removed most of the classes from DOD in DOD:S because a lot of them had very similar weapons and fulfilled same roles Valve could add loadout system that allows you to choose your own weapons

YES, I've been saying this for years. Day of Defeat Source 2 isn't just a neat idea, a well earned sequel, but it may very well solve the Triple A FPS problem. On an engine like Source 2, a new Day of Defeat could act less as strictly a sequel, but as a DIY FPS platform, we're all tired of how franchises like COD and Battlefield are being mishandled and poorly delivered, Day of Defeat 2 could act as a platform where we could make our own better FPS. We could remake any features we like too, recreate favourite maps and modes. Sky is the limit.

I agree. Gabe Newell said they didn't make a "DOD:GO" at the time they made CS:GO because he felt the WWII FPS market was "oversaturated". Maybe now would be a good time?

Source 2 DoD would be pretty cool. Just copy dod source and make it better looking with modern graphics.

Day of Defeat is such a good game since it isn't ultracompetitive like Counter-Strike but isn't weird or gimmicky like TF2 (both are also great titles, but you know what I mean).

He's right, Day of Infamy isn't the same since it's a more realistic take on WW2. It's also a spin-off of the Insurgency series. Luckily it's got bot support since the game isn't active anymore.
