And still growing. Will end up an inch or two taller. M'en usually grow untill they're 23 y.o. That would be even more terrifying considering his height and wingspan. No way to guard him.

@@christianmuller292 men definitely don't grow after 20. If you're 20 and hoping to grow, I've got some bad news for you.

He's so tall but skinny. Spurs better pray he's not injury prone. That height+ small bones is a big red flag.

Injuries are definitely a concern but I’m sure the spurs will put a lot of emphasis on strength training to help him develop

Hasn't been injured all season in the french league. And the advantage of knowing the risk is there is you look out for problems before they arise. A lot of players with long term injuries or worse still, chronic injuries comes from thinking the risk is very low. I'm 6ft4 and have trouble all over with my skeleton and Scheurmann disease (your skeleton grows too fast). No player is immune to injury and that comes from the fact hat their are too many games a week. The NBA should reduce that amount, it makes no sense. How many go off having stress fractures ?

I think what people are missing with Victor and why he’s considered a better prospect then LeBron is because at their ages Victor is better then LeBron was. The big mistake you all are making is you’re keeping in your mind what LeBron has become. Not what he was. Victor is a better prospect then LeBron was. He might not end up being a better player however.

As an ESPN guy said, there was way more hype around LeBron because he was an american. I think Wenbenyama is better however as he has been playing at professional level all season and "full time" and not college basketball.

He’s not a better prospect, he’s never played in the U.S. before. LeBron was amongst the best as a 18 year old once he got in the league. It’ll take Victor more time to find a style that fits him, not to mention he’ll be very lucky if he doesn’t get injured within his first year in the league.(if we’re being honest) The athletes in the U.S. are just different…

@@jjab430 that’s debatable. Some say his is some says he isn’t. You don’t feel he is. I feel like he is. It’s a matter of opinion.

Let him play please. But what’s worrying about this is is he a multi champion in his home country already if not he may not make a case over here.

36 and 37 points in the two games vs the Ignite 9 months ago was enough for me with the second prospect Scoot Henderson on the opposite side. It had never been done before. And the Mets92 vs Monaco were outstanding. Monaco have 8 ex-NBA players on their roster. I've seen worse.

Wembanyama is being way too hyped, it may not even be good for him. All this pressure and calling him a better prospect then lebron??!! Come on now who are we kidding.

Wilt Chamberlain was the greatest prospect ever. Not even a question. Why? By the time he left high school he had over 200 college offers and he had played semi pro ball. In college they changed the rules to stop or limit him from doing things. They changed the free throw rules and the out of bounds rule because they heard could dunk from the free throw line. Chamberlain could stand a few feet above the top of the key and dunk from the free throw line. They used to inbounds behind the backboard and lob over it so he could grab it and dunk. Teams would triple team him and they allowed teams to slow the game down and keep the ball out of his hands. He went to the Globetrotters for his final year just to have fun playing the game again. And even after playing non competitively for fun for a year he came into the league and averaged 37 points and 27 rebounds as a rookie. He had two 58 point games as a rookie. And he was named MVP of the league as a rookie. There is no way as a rookie that Victor Wembanyama has that kind of effect on the NBA even though the talent and the rules are watered down to create more scoring. By the way, Chamberlain entered the NBA at 7'1" barefoot and weighing 259lbs. Wembanyama is taller than him but he is not 259lbs. He weighs about 49lbs less than Chamberlain did entering the league. One more thing to note, Chamberlain averaged over 45 minutes a game for his entire career.

He's so big that he will play on defense like all tall lanky guys. He will jump and send stuff third row and try to make plays and use his length as a way to make up for not amazing on ball defense. If attackers go into his chest under the rim he'll struggle.

To see who deserves to be the best prospect I always look at those of the past at the same age and listen to my instincts. There have been quite a few extraordinary prospects some living up to expectations and others failing miserably. Is Wenbenyama better than LeBron ? I don't think you can put them in the same category. I think Wenbenyama is a better allrounder already than LeBron but LeBron has the experience and has proven to be a game changer which Wenbenyama still has to show. Then I listen to what the scouts say and ESPN guys who have been around for donkeys years. These last ones almost all believe that if we came back 20 years when LeBron was number 1 draft he'd be overtaken by Wenbenyama, mainly because we've never seen anything like the latter before. If you're a franchise owner who do you choose between LeBron and Wenbenyama in the same draft if you get the first pick ? Hard decision or not ?

I dont see it. He seems like a carbon copy of Ralph Sampson with a little better ball handling skills. I think he is the best pick this year but is not a better prospect than Lebron at this stage.
