Victoria Monét, and her mom, L'Tanya Chestang Cubit, chat with ET's Kevin Frazier backstage at the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards, which aired Sunday on CBS and Paramount+. Victoria reacts to winning Best New Artist and thanks her partner and daughter, whom she forgot to thank during her acceptance speech. Victoria shares that she wanted her mom to join her on stage, but L'Tanya explains why she chose not to.

I lost my mom a year ago unexpected at 63 and I was 36, and we had a close relationship so I'm crying my eyes out. I'm so proud of Victoria and she is so humble, sweet and absolutely breathtaking. I'm a mom of 3 boys and oldest will be 19 this year. I had him as a Senior in high school so I know these struggles. PPD is also ugly thing to deal with also! Keep kicking azz and hug your momma tight always. Such a wonderful relationship! I adore her.
