I am looking forward to getting Clemson at home and being a dog.. that's a payday.. defensive line got a upgrade this year with Peebles all acc, Khurtiss Perry Alabama, Gilliam Oklahoma, and Emmett Laws Dematha that kid is a BEAST!

I love the optimism, GE! For the first time in a while, there is hype surrounding the VT football program. The sky is definitely the limit with this team. Hopefully with the expanded Playoff, we can sneak in, but there’s a lot of quality teams. Should be a great season!

I’m definitely excited with this Virginia Tech team once it’s fall. Most of the starters coming back on both sides of the ball and Tech added depth at the d-line positions and at the RB core as well.

VT didn't figure things out on offense until the 5th game of the season against Pitt. If they had Drones starting 1st game, I think they should have gone at least 8-4. I'm most excited to see the D-line.

Virginia Tech is a team to not be slept on this season especially in the ACC... they return QB Kyrone Drones who is a dual threat QB and they return almost all their offense and defense this year... I expect Virginia Tech to win 8 or 9 games this season..

I mean…they didn’t beat a single top 25 team last year and lost 3 straight to Purdue, Rutgers, and Marshall. Idc if they retained the roster and slightly improved. Winning the conference takes way more than just retaining solid guys. I just don’t see it.

Those losses weren’t good, but remember that Drones didn’t get his first start at QB until the Rutgers game. It took a bit to gel and build chemistry, but this team was hot to end the season. And as for the comparison to Georgia Tech, the schedule plays a big role too. Virginia Tech has a significantly easier schedule than Georgia Tech. Sometimes teams are much better than their final record indicates.

You're sort of smoothing out some of the wrinkles, to put it nicely. Drones is a terrible "Quarterback. for #1. The guy has a major flaw. As in "Glaring"...!!! He likes to run, he likes running better than throwing the ball. And it costs us some games because of this little problem. Our motto in the stands last year was #3 and out, #3 and out. etc. etc. There was no consistency all season. Or did you kind of forget that . We sucked last year. If they can make Drones stay in the backfield and throw, instead of running every time he wants too. We may be better on offense. The offensive line was just terrible as well. Why else did drones run so much. Defense we will be awesome. And lastly Coach Pry. If we end up 6-6 0r anything worse he will be fired. And he should be. He has lost more games than he has won. And that's not what we are paying millions for. #3 losing seasons and he should be out the door, with the talent we have. Peace.

I can promise you Virginia Tech will not go 6-6 or worse. Pry will be around for another year and may ink himself an extension after the success I believe they’ll have this year.

@@TheGridironExpert Been hearing the hype for over #2 years. I'm as loyal as anyone but Drones is a terrible quarterback, but no one seems to acknowledge this or even see how he plays. It's all about him. He likes to run, no, he loves to run. He thinks he's all that and a bag of chips. I bet he has #100 mirrors in his apartment. He loves to see himself on ESPN. A team player he is not. And a throw first Quarterback, he is not. He will cost us games again this year. If they played Pop at Quarterback. I'd be all in for the hype. But Drones doesn't do as he is told, he does what Drones wants to do. Runs at the drop of a hat and is not a team player. And that will cost us dearly. As far as Pry he isn't made for head coaching. He isn't. He loves drones. Pop would get us to a bowl game and beyond, but Pry only sees Drones. It's like his career hangs on Drones. It'll cost him his job and everything else that goes with it. Pop 100% will make the team a team. Bet you a million bucks we play Drones we end up just like last year. Everyone thinks he's the shytes though.
