Don't know if I've ever seen someone as physical as him get such a terrible whistle. He is constantly getting mauled on every attempt in the paint but it results in very few FTs. Jakucionis sells contact really well but it's not like he gets hit that much more, at least not enough to justify such a crazy difference in FTR.

I think his handles and shot diet can be improved with a better team. I hope gets drafted by a Spurs or some team with good developmental schemes.

@@jpsatre 6’7 is a big difference from 6’4 in the NBA ……. VJ is liability on offense so basically 4 on 5….. his comp is mac McLung…. In Mac is better than Vj and Mac CANT get a nba contract

Upside ?? Leaping ability in the NBA is not upside ….. there are guys in GLEAGUE rn that have 47 inch vertical in lockdown defense…… u can’t be a liability on offense in today nba to get a contract…… Vj is a glaeage player at the moment

That self creation looks really bad, I dont buy his upside as a star whatsoever. At best I see him as a teams 4th or 5th starter and I don't think thats worth picking in the lottery.

⁠My thing is VJ looks a lot closer to 6’3 with skill set of wing.The closet comparison would be Cason but he can legitimately play the point guard position which I don’t see with VJ.

I don't think his "feel" stands out primarily on offense, sure he's got good instincts defensively but I see a guy who looks lost on offense, not that he plays beyond his means but he just seems to not really know where or how to contribute consistently on the offensive end beyond cutting and crashing the glass. I see a Shannon Brown comp right now with the upside to be a Lu Dort or Bruce Brown type.

Jaylen Brown isn't a good comp. VJ might already be a better defender and a better athlete, and VJ getting to the Jaylen Brown level of shot-creation is just so unlikely

NBA not hiring players that are 6’4 in is liability on offense Just Defense doesn’t cut it, if u aren’t 6’9 and above like Ryan Dunn with crazy wingspan Vj can’t cover enough ground to be a lottery pick off of just defensive that sounds crazy in todays NBA

Look at Amen ik VJ isn’t as tall as amen with him standing at 6’7 and VJ being 6’4/6’5 but Amen had the same problem with him potentially being a offensive liability because of his inability to shoot and create his own shot. An amen is playing pretty good in just his 2nd year they both have elite athleticism, defensive iq, and finishing around the rim. So why can’t VJ be the same way in the league?

VJ has long arms and big hands, he’ll be fine.. just look at OKC, guys like caruso, wallace, dort are no taller than 6’5 and all perimeter monsters.. VJ is bigger,faster, stronger (not dort lol) and more athletic than all those guys

VJ needs to go to a team that already has a scorer or facilitator on the team I don't wanna see him have to create for himself 😂 I also feel that a lot of his upside due to his sheer athleticism and defensive chops he reminds me a lot of the Oladipo archetype, but Edgecombe's finishing at the rim is very worrying at only 45% or so how are u that athletic but can't finish 🤔 not a great look for a non-shooter too
