This is a movie that no one can hate. Honestly, there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s funny, sweet, inspiring, and memorable. This is a movie that doesn’t need a sequel or prequel. It can be watched by any age, and gender. And the animation is outstanding.

I know a number of people who hate this film for the simplest made-up reasons. The most common one I get when i ask is: because almost no one spoke in the film. they didnt like it because there was not enough talking in it

@@rangerzickle3350 I knew a guy in middle school who hated it because "robots don't have feelings." Like, that's kind of the point?? Overall he just thought it was stupid, which made me, someone who has this movie as their special interest (in terms of autism), a bit upset for a few weeks. So yeah, I will always remember that there are people who exist that hate this movie

Another thing I love about Wall.E is the gorgeous music from Thomas Newman. The characters have recognisable themes and there is a good mixture of the orchestral instruments such as the harps, flutes and violins, that play differently to most other movie soundtracks, from my observations of music in TV and film. "Define Dancing" is the one of the most memorable pieces from the score for how fun and magical it sounds when seeing Wall.E and E.V.E. flying in space. I also like to believe Thomas referred back to his work on Wall.E when working on the music for Passengers, another movie set aboard a holiday themed spaceship with music of similar vibes to Wall.E and Finding Nemo.

Pixar's decline into mediocrity (with a few good recent films) from non-stop classics has been sad to see. Hope they can get back to that level.

It's not just Pixar. Almost all of Disney turned into a dumpster fire since Spring 2018 onward. Mediocre Pixar films. Mediocre Disney+ remakes/sequels to iconic 20th Century Fox film franchises ("Prey" being the sole exception) . Mediocre Family Guy episodes. _More_ mediocre The Simpsons episodes. Mediocre MCU films and TV shows since the decline of positive public reviews with "Avengers: Infinity War" onward. And don't let me start about "Star Wars Episode IX" and some of their TV shows. Let's hope that "Daredevil: Born Again" and the upcoming Indiana Jones film wouldn't be affected much by Big Brother Mouse.

WALL-E is a movie that have, several times, talked about for several hours. Its the culmination of ideas dwelled upon in Dante's Divine Comedy, Shakespeare, The Book of Revelation in the Bible, and Hello Dolly! It effortlessly expresses and unifies a variety of deep philosophical concepts as well as being an incredibly beautiful and engaging children's film. One of the greatest of all time.

The sound design in wall-E is amazing. With very little actual dialogue, the sound design has to pick up the mantle. The DVD has a mini doco about the sound design. And as we know the best sound design isn't in your face. Like cgi, it works best when you don't even notice what it's doing. It just does it. Worth a watch if you can.

I disagree on your view of Auto - to me it's a centerpiece of the over reliance on the technology arc, when there's literally not villain, not evil plan, it's just a machine that's doing exactly what it was programmed to do - unlike Wall-E who developed a personality and was able to deviate from his programming. Auto is clearly a reference to HAL 9000 from 2001: Space Odyssey, so it's bizarre to me when people loosing this part of the context.
@BritishTrainspotting
@BritishTrainspotting Жыл бұрын
While its not intentionally a villain, it still is the villain in the films plot. This is what happens when we rely on technology too much, it cannot change alongside our changing intentions and goals, and thus is a setback for progress of society. The real villain is capitalism and massive private companies taking over the majority of most markets, that amount of control is dangerous in the wrong hands, and there is rarely hands that aren't wrong in that kind of position.

I like how Harbo Wholmes covers the romance part and ecological perspective and CinemaSins actually pointed out actual plot holes like how is there one roach and the shouldn't the plant be dead after it floated in space and how does the economics and politics even exist in the world although it just tries to make the movie seem bad it does question all the right flaws of the film. More than just depicting on how important the romance and environment of the characters and setting of story but the channel 4shame actually covered how even within the movie AI matches perfectly to how AI can develop from the real world of today to those times and be misunderstood and how AI shouldn't be seen as a threat but rather likely just a misunderstood artificial lifeform. Alteori covered all of the ecological and AI reliance from humans of how the movie comes out. Wall-E is basically more than a prediction and warning of today of what will be disguised as a fiction film but a docufilm the more we ignore today's crisis becomes the more Wall-E is telling how the future will turn out to events that haven't happened yet but will.

Why is Wall-E a masterpiece? Because it compels the audience to cry by showing a trash compactor running over a cockroach. Such things can only be weaponized by masters.
