I remember accidentally giving my gym teacher a concussion with a foam ball. I didn’t even do it on purpose. I kicked the ball in a random direction and it just so happened to hit him in the face. I also almost got messed up on the surfer simulator at Kalahari. I was getting ready to pop up onto the board, but the water was starting to get into my trunks and the next thing I knew my trunks were around my ankles, thankfully concealed by the foam from the water crashing into my johnson. I was able to quickly pull my trunks back up with one hand before anybody could notice or the machine would shut down. If I didn’t notice and spread my legs out to catch them, my trunks would have come off in front of about 20 parents and 40 kids

i once went to those inflatable aquaparks , and let me tell you , they did not get rid of the barnacles under those things. i still have a scar on my toe as a constant reminder that those things are sharp , and thats why pirates used them as a form of brutal execution , aka keelhauling.

I remember my first and only trip to Kalahari, it was great until that night where my friend caught a stomach bug that was going around up there and he was vomiting in intervals of 5 mins every 10 mins. Needless to say I forced him to go to the hospital for 2 hours while he got iv fluids and I looked at the time, it was 6:30am and checkout was at 9 and I was the only friend legally allowed to drive out of state. I asked the hotel staff if I could push my checkout back after all we’d experienced that night and they did, but not before charging me an extra $150 on top of my previous $900ish payment to stay there. Here’s the fun part they forgot to tell house keeping we delayed our checkout so house keeping kept harassing us every 30 mins until we left at 10:30am after I cussed them out because I’m tired and my friend threw up over his bed and floor last night. We stop to refuel and get him nausea meds the doctor prescribed and he forgets his wallet, so he’s panicking and I just spot him the cash and we go on our way. Everything is fine until we approach the bridge on the way back and I pull over and ask for a trash bag that we took from the hotel, yup I caught what he had and I forced our third friend to drive us back since fuck it we were 16 mins from the state anyway. Irrelevant to the story but we had dominos the previous night too and because of the lack of sleep and that sickness I can no longer stomach dominos without gaging.

I honestly agree. I was just at the Wilderness Resort in the Dells a couple weeks ago for my friend’s bday party, which is right next to Kalahari, and at the wave pool there were these big ass waves (probably more amusing than the Kalahari ones tbh) and one of them made me slam my foot on the hard floor and scrape my toes. There was mad blood everywhere. And that’s not even the worst thing that happened that day, cause on that same day, my friend broke his finger playing basketball in the water with another kid. Water parks can be hella fun, but man, you can NOT leave without getting some scars.

Typhoon lagoon was sorta the same realization. The wave pool used to be fun when you could hug the wall, I swear they made the waves weaker. The Humunga Kowabunga is the straight-and-fast water slide and the little connection points would scratch your back since the grooves were so deep. The twisty single-person slide was also painful on the back. Even the lazy river was horrible with cold water guns controlled by ice-cream wielding toddlers that aim for your face, and the water fall that pelted you with dozens of pounds of water with every splash, hitting you 5 times a second. The ground was also brick-oven hot sandpaper that burned and peeled your feet away. You had to step in shadows for it not to hurt.
