What a wonderful question! I’d say that it starts with an experience of awakening. Awakening reveals the truth that you’re not the mind, body, thoughts, emotions, or the separate self-made self. Self-realization stabilizes that truth with even less variances in the ego still showing up and ,Enlightenment perfects the embodiment of the truth. By the time it is enlightenment, there is no separation to be experienced or witnessed. That’s my take on it anyhow. I hope it helps! What’s your thought on the subject?

Fantastic discussion JMK! Thanks 🙏 Sometimes I wonder why this hide and seek. Alan Watts suggested the universe is playing or entertaining itself. I suppose that would be ok with me, but there sure is a lot of seeming suffering. It does give me comfort to know other folks yearn for those prior blissful moments as well. Perhaps we are denied more of these, if the universe senses we will get attached to that at our stage of awakening? I do not know the answer to that....I know when I do not know ;). Congrats on your channel and discoveries 🙏

Thank you for the pointers. Very insightful. I have a question that I was hoping you would talk about. On the internet, there are hundreds of videos on Non Duality and all these awakened, realized, enlightened spiritual teachers describe it as spaciousness, beingness, knowingness, emptiness, fullness, awareness, consciousness etc. If you ask a fish, how does the sky look, it has no contemplation of something like that... in much the same way, the mind cannot fathom what is attempted to be described in words. If this cannot be realized by the mind, why do people talk about it all the time? What typically happens is that people want to understand it more intellectually (or more conceptually), and I wonder if it is helpful? The practice of being present every single moment, and dropping from the mind (thoughts), to witness whatever is there, in the absence of experiences, is all that is continuously needed. It does appear that the teachers through their minds and thoughts communicate with other minds (audience) with thoughts and I wonder understanding it conceptually is in fact beneficial or a real hinderance to the practice.

All I have to say is Bravo! 👏 you asked what I asked myself at one point because I felt like some attempts to explain or answer questions were made out to be ridiculously complex and didn’t actually ever answer the persons question. You bring up a beautiful point. I’ll make a video on it, but for now I’ll briefly share my pov on it. The mind alone cannot realize anything as we are not the doer therefore we have no control or real influence over how life flows through us. That’s true because no credit can be given to the mind. Knowledge is only helpful leading up to the ah-ha moment. After that, knowledge is ignorance to some point. Even devotional practices are devoid of purpose at some point as well. Minds speaking to minds. I love the way you put that. Words flowing from a body can be efforting from the mind or flowing from one’s True Nature/Essence. When people read or hear Truth it can crack the door open for them to have their own ah-ha moment. Each person will say all it takes is this or that based on what they feel led them to their own ah-ha moment. There are many paths but they all lead to the same destination.
