I started cubing May 2017 as a 50 year old for two reasons: 1) because no one was allowed to touch the 'original' Rubik's cube on my home office shelf for fear of messing it up and not being able to solve it 2) to fight a depressing hell I created for myself - #DepressionSucks - whooped its ass! No medication, just a Valk 3. Now I am a 51 year old ROUXber...loving it. Thanks for the video

i started to attempt to solve the cube in 2011 after my dad came home with one in his hands, showing me he could solve it. i spent years. in 2016 i got a cube for Christmas. 7-9 months later, i finally solved it. i was so happy and determined to beat my dad. i soon found a competition in the area, rocket city 3.0. i really enjoyed the competing part. i did my 3x3 round 1 and left afterwards for another event that was ongoing. i came back later in the day to film the middle table's 3x3 finals. overall i thought it was a great experience that i won't forget. i'm always finding new speedcubes on the market and amazing videos to watch like this one. hopefully my cubing career won't end soon :)

holy crap! This looks amazing! Whenever anyone that I know sees me cubing, one of the main questions is always why? (also How, but why is common too). Most of the time, I don't have an answer, because I could say to win, but I'm not that fast. I could say to socialize, but most people see cubers as nerds or geeks". I could say that its something for me to do/look forward to, but that could be applied to anything. I can't put into words how cubing has affected my life, nor can i put into words how cubing has brought me so many new opportunities. Some of the time I am actually made fun of for cubing (even if most of them are jokes or satire). This movie can help me answer what I need. Thank you Chris, I can't wait to see you at Nats. This is the farthest I've ever gone for a competition, and I can't wait to see this movie, too. If I may ask, I have 2 questions. Do you know which day they will show it? And also, is there an approximate runtime to the movie?

i am in 9th.. my parents do not want me to do cubing as they say it will distract you from your studies... i do study in india which is one of the most labourous education systems in the world.. after seeing this i felt very happy

Hey Chris! I can’t decide whether I should go to nationals this year. It’s only about 1:30 away, but I won’t be able to make it on Sunday which is when all the good stuff happens and the registration price is a lot for me. Should I still go?

1:30 is extremely close for nationals. It will likely not be that close to you again for 5+ years. You will regret not going.
