What had Akuffo Addo to do with Nkrumah's statute being vandalized? Wasn't it this same Akuffo Addo who built a museum for Nkrumah and refurbished his mausoleum. Since there's no paramount chief in Sekondi - Takoradi political leaders have no respect for the people on this region. Even the former President have no statue in his own home town so how come the regional minister have to make statue for him without the concern of the people. If a President construct 2km road distance and he deserves a statue then i think Jerry, Kuffour, Mills and Mahama deserves more statues

The number of people who sat out of voting plus those who voted for Bawumia were more than what Mahama received. That means this elections were more about Mahama's winning. When Mahama lost bigly in 2016 against Akuffo Addo, did it mean he was so useless that no one should have given him the chance again? Stop behaving like a thug. The funny thing is the statue wasn't built by Nana Addo. It was built by the western regional chiefs to honour him. History has an interesting way of repeating itself. This was the mood of Ghanaians when Nkrumah was overthrown. Posterity would always be kind to those who laid down transformational foundations for Ghana. Nkrumah's statues were broken down but his legacy cannot be erased. Nana Addo would be celebrated forever. Both implemented Free SHS. Both implemented the highest industrialisation drive. Both were focused on projecting the image of Ghana to the world. Both invested the most in our education. Both were tagged as dictators. Both were said not to allow media freedom.
