Every Sunday service before the close of sermon, people are told that by resident pastor or whoever preaches that you cannot make heaven if you are not at peace with God. Unfortunatlely in the business of God, we cannot chose what to focus on. Lets call a spade a spade. This is heresy and nothing more. If Jesus Himself in Mark 16:15..could charge His disciples to go into the world and preach the gosple, I see no reason why we should justify Bishop Abioye for saying otherwise. The sooner we respect the instruction of our creator above the teaching of our pastors the better for us. This is not to question his calling but to caution him that thinks he's standing firm lest he falls (1Cor. 10:12)

In the bible, in john 3:16 Yahushua(Jesus) said: for God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son, so that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life. End quote. Where do people perish? In hell and the lake of fire. And where do people have eternal life? In heaven. Heaven and hell is right there in John 3:16. So Jesus is saying there that the reason God sent him to this world is to save people from perishing in hell, and to give them eternal life in heaven. That is what the gospel is about. Jesus only preached one message throughout his preaching on earth. Not two messages. And that message is about how to have your sins forgiven for the sake of heaven and hell.

Those arguing in the comment section would not be satisfying with this preaching. You hear them saying that you must preach on sufferings that happen in hell to scare people from sin. Jesus Christ several times mentioned of the judgment to come. He mentioned of hell in the story of the rich man storing up food for himself, the rich man and Lazarus and when he told his disciples to only fear the one who can destroy the soul. However, this was not the focus of his ministry in bringing repentance. We have have many accounts when people repented without Jesus Christ using the word hell. For Zaccheus he said salvation has come to this house, to the woman at the well he said I have water that you drink and never thrust again, to the woman who committed adultery he said neither do I condemn you go and sin no more, to the lame man he said your sins are forgiven. He'll was mentioned to those who stubbornly rejected the Gospel. However, a word is enough for the wise.

@@jakins250 You are lying, preaching about hell was the focus of Jesus ministry. How can Jesus be telling people to do things that are not part of his ministry? What Jesus told us to seek are the things he died for. What are those things? For our sins to be forgiven, to escape hell and have everlasting life in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus can never tell us to seek what he didn’t die for. It will look as if he died in vain. After his death and resurrection, before he went back to heaven, the Bible said he appeared to his disciples and talked with them about the kingdom of heaven. If you say that preaching about heaven and hell was not part of Jesus ministry, then what was Jesus preaching and promoting in his ministry?

@@YAHUSHUAISLORD468 It's seems you did not get what I said earlier. Preaching about Salvation and preaching about hell and rapture are two different things. The preaching about hell these people usually refer to are usually not even scriptural, though they bare similarities with scripture. You would hear a sermon which should actually be called a true or false testimony on hell. They would mention all that was revealed to them about the suffering in hell. The same thing can be said about rapture. You have people having sermons about all the events that God showed them would happen before and after the rapture. The problem is one can preach hours on these topics and not have anything to say scripturally about our saviour Jesus Christ. Even Apostle Paul and Apostle John would tell us that God showed them things that they cannot speak or write about.

Not everyone is called to be a healing minister but everyone should pray for a sick person when given the opportunity. Not everyone sermon must be titled on salvation but everyone sermon should still end at salvation. Remember Christian life is a journey. There are still many things to learn about after giving your life to Christ. So you cannot say believers who make up majority of the Church should listen to salvation titled message every Sunday. I personally belief the main purpose of all preaching in every chapter and verse in the Bible in concerning Jesus Christ. Like Jesus Christ did to His disciples on the road to Emmaneus. Like Apostle Paul did. Like Deacon Steven did. Even for eternity God would still be showing us mysteries concerning Himself. It is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every religion would tell you there is a heaven and hell. Some groups who would call themselves Christians as Christ warned would predict Jesus Christ coming. However, the main purpose of every teaching is about Jesus Christ and his directions for you.

Prosperity and other messages are good, sir, but we came to this world empty, and we will go back empty only the transactions we make with our souls will be eternal ( hell or heaven) please read Romans 10:14-15.
