Why We Give CD&T Vaccine To Our Goats

In this video we catch up all of the does to give them their early CD&T vaccine. This is a once a year vaccine that is only 2cc's per head. This is going to protect them from tetanus and over eating disease. We give it to them 4-6 weeks before kidding so that it will develop in their colostrum and will protect the the kids up unto weaning time. We do this primarily for the kids because we castrate all of our male kids. Once it is time for weaning we will then give the kids a booster shot. This is a cheap and simple way to protect our kid crop from overeating disease and tetanus.
