Türkiye is the 4th country that attracts the most tourists in the world. There are more tourists than even Italy. Türkiye is twice the size of Italy in terms of both population and area. The best service sector in the world is in Turkey. By the way, the population of Istanbul is not 15, but 25 million. Administrators deliberately say the population is less. Türkiye has the world's most beautiful beaches, ski resorts, tunnels and road networks, high-speed train infrastructure and complex metro systems. More than 50 million tourists come to visit our country every year. And do not confuse us Turks with Arab countries, we are not like Syria and Iraq.

I had a gut hunch that the car might remedy itself as you were refilling diesel fuel.I thought when I seen you guys filling up @ that old pump that this might not go well. I'm not saying that someone conspired on purpose. Over here as in many parts of the world they are required by law to have pre-filters on the pumps. The pump where you filled up with the bad fuel was ancient. My only confusion & not meaning to chastise you is why you don't carry hidden cash somewhere; whether on your person with a money belt or hidden in your vehicle. I still love you guys having voiced my confusion. Have a blessed day my friends!! Cheers!! Illinois, USA@@goingtoworld

I liked, voted and subscribed for even more from your really pure feeling style travel experiences, you princess are amazingly pretty but very good teller and well skilled for any kind travel adventures! On the other hands, keep in mind this, for your next longer or alike crossing uncommon regions: despite engines theory which states that the diesel is more robust and powerful, the gasoline may better handle these tricky fuel related damages on the fly! That is because it is easier to burn on the fly those garbage particles in tricky fuel mixtures by higher gasoline engine process temperature than in diesel engines which work by lower internal temperature also basing on very sensitive to any clogs garbage or moisture due to much thinner injection pipes they are builtin with etc So in alike uncertain fuels, avoiding modern diesels is a must have! Anyway also many thanks for inspiring as I also intend soon a longer drive from my country (Yes, I am from Transylvania of Romania you already visited!😎) up to ...marvels of China Li river etc so your infos were very precious especially along these rarely crossed by europeans countries! PS. However I disregarded and disliked your too risky accelerating those long downhills aiming to stupidly try compensate your time delays by that engine fail! Did you ever know that you could very easily go...dead as no more able to get based on that only must use native engine braking since your damaged engine could no more allow higher rotation speed self risen by any engine braking when go down long slopes?? Take infinite care with next time!

Diesel cars will run on just about anything oily. I run mine on central heating oil with a splash of engine oil mixed in for lubrication of the fuel pump. Most likely it was water in the fuel which settles at the bottom of the fuel filter and a new fuel filter should fix it. Even take the old fuel filter off and drain it and refit might suffice. That garage should have been able to do that easily and a fuel filter is a standard part available for a few pounds. You should always carry a spare fuel filter and the tools to fit it in such countries.

First of all, I have to say that I disagree with some of your statements. Turkey and Armenia are not enemy countries. It is true that we have some serious political problems. One of the most important of these is the Karabakh issue, which caused the border crossing to be closed. But it is not possible for the people of the two countries to be enemies. Also, as a Turk, I can easily say that there is no vehicle that cannot be repaired in any city in Turkey. In every city, there are big areas with car repair services. If you go to these repair shops instead of the authorized toyota service, they will repair your vehicle. I wish you a nice journey.
@goingtoworld9 ай бұрын
Merhaba Mustafa, thank you for your comment. You're absolutely right, there are political tensions between Turkey and Armenia, but it's important to recognize that the people of both countries are not always enemies. 🕊 Unfortunately, when it came to the car situation, we faced problems. Despite checking several car repair shops and the Toyota garage in Erzurum, we couldn't find any options. Perhaps with your help, we might have been more successful. 😇 Thank you very much for your good wishes, we wish you all the best as well! 🌟
