I've used Griots 3 in 1 ceramic spray wax for over a year and I've had no issues in sun or shade. I use it for my customers who don't want to pay for a ceramic coating and it's outperformed carnauba and synthetic waxes.

What were the conditions when you applied it? I've had a mixed bag of results. Have you noticed the coating being prone to clogging? We had an extremely cold winter so the car only saw three ONR washes since November. Griot's had better warm gloss depth but I had better beading from Beadmaker as a standalone the year prior.

@@nomad509 I've used it in everything from full sun to shade, cloudy days and some colder weather. Admittedly, I can't use it on darker color vehicles, especially black, in full sun because the paint is too hot. But, that was the only issue. I've had customers tell me they love it.

thank you for re-uploading Joel! Great insight and review. Keep it coming! Post washing, I like using wetcoat followed by jetfan and then drying, I recently tried the "wipe and shine" from CarBrite and the product seems fantastic as well for sorely shinning. with that being said, wetcoat is the only thing a man needs on planet earth.

@@notsodelusional on my Charger that’s mainly garaged it’s still beading fantastic and it’s used to top off the Meguiar’s hybrid paint coating that comes in the can. Meguires ceramic spray wax and ceramic detailer are my go to now especially for in direct sun on hot paint as they can be diluted or be applied on dry or wet surfaces. as far as streaming goes. for the majority of products its not the product its the user applying wayyy too much product or them using 1 towel for the whole vwhicle application which gets too saturated again too much product . use 1 or two sprays max and almost no product will streak. a little goes a long way. i love the megs ceramic wax i use it as a drying aide and its amazing 1 spray per panel on wet surface then use drying towels. dry and add protection in 1 step.

Here's my problem and why I as a professional detailer only use spray sealants or waxes that only last up to 1 year The cars I detail are abused daily drivers that see snow and salt and automatic car washes any professional coating that lasts 3 or 5 or 10 years would be a waste in that scenario because all the swirls you'd get after one or two seasons would need to get polished off alongside that coating its not as much of a waste if you're polishing off remnants of a coating or wax that only lasts a year or so. Personally I have never experienced any streaking or problems along those lines that gave me anymore trouble than just a quick buff. Overall whatever you or someone else may choose to use is for them to decide but spray sealants absolutely have their place
@DETAILSofficial
@DETAILSofficial Жыл бұрын
I would probably go with a pro coating in your scenario for maximum protection and ease of cleaning on maintenance in harsh conditions, we coat out clients cars with pro grade in the winter so our maintainence times don't fluctuate. It's a small hit that goes a long way. (Of course this doesn't include a correction) and of course this is not always financially a good option for a lot of detailers. But for my operation it works wonders.

Honestly the best overall coating I've used regarding price, ease of application, removal and durability is still meguires spray coating and it has the longest shelf life I've seen out of any protection product. Also any product you apply essentially with a high si02 content should never be sprayed directly onto a panel essentially outside since it can get everywhere and it will be vary hard to spot until it's too late. I've also used many different spray on coating that state 6 to 18 month durability and here in Minnesota none have hit the mark I usually see half to 3/4 the stated amount on vehicles that get washed every one to two weeks. The companies usually test by only washing once per month and that's just unrealistic for most climates.

Thanks for this review, I have been wondering about these Si02 sprays since they seem like a much cheaper alternative to full blown ceramic coatings. And up to a year of protection? If it lives up to that is not bad at all for something that seems like its as easy and quick to apply as a spray wax. 😎
