My first trip to Thailand was 23 years ago now. The spice level and type of Thai food is different than other cuisines. I describe spicy Thai food like a chilli ninja. A hot Indian curry is hot from the first mouthful, whereas Thai spicy creeps up on you and when you're least expecting it, halfway through a meal, it clubs you round the head lol.

52:26 by the look of these, they are sandwich cookies/crackers usually stuff with pineapple confits/jam, but the dried type. These shape of sandwich cookies also made with durian confits, coconut&pandan confits and even cheese flavoured but the most common ones are pineapple confits. Cheers guys.

The part when you were getting the bus from the airport at Krabi reminded me.... I was on my third trip? and on the domestic flight from BKK to Phuket, I met a young British couple who were backpacking. They were headed to Patong as well. I already had transport arranged with my Thai friend I'd used many times before. 'Share the fare and you won't have to wait'. Job done. I asked them where they were staying, and they said they were going to look when they arrived. Confirmed what budget they were on, said there'd probably be spare rooms at the place I was staying at. One phone call to Danny (the owner), and within 5 minutes they were sorted lol. Ended up having a couple of meals out with them over the coming days, before they then headed for Samui.

I stayed in on nut while i was there for songkron this year. Did you get a chance to go by the cetury movie plaza. That plaza had some good restarants upstairs. Suhkumvit 77 alley market and the big c near by was also really good.

Dylan, since learning you're a Type1 diabetic I'm concerned for you're long term health eating sugar and and starch. Research on a reduced carbohydrate diet has lowered A1c to 5.7

Hello! No need to worry - my blood sugars are very well controlled. My A1c is 42mmol/mol which is way beneath UK guidelines :). Not sure what the number is to convert into your units! No need for a low carb diet as such, just stay active, carb count, take insulin and adjust accordingly :D
