I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum as you. I been on the east coast most of my life and I'm just tired of this humidity (I'm always sweating for no reason in the warmer months), it rains ALL the time which also can get depressing, plus it's TOO many people for me. I can't even leave the store without waiting for cars to pass is just one example. I want something more laid back, dry and with less people and I had my eyes on Arizona and the west coast for awhile now. I did the midwest and up north too and that's a definite NO for me. I hope you guys enjoy your stay in Florida!

Arizona is beautiful and I loved living there, it is very laid back and easy going. Starting to get populated in Phoenix but cities like Flagstaff, Tucson and Prescott are still not as crazy populated like Phoenix.

I’m in a similar boat as you. Born and raised in SoCal, but have lived in Colorado for a while now. Tired of the cold and to make a move again. I love California with a passion, but for the move I’m considering both the Phoenix area and the Orlando area. I like AZ because of where it’s still out west and located close to both California and Vegas. But on the flip side I like Florida for what it offers. Being near water, having the amusement parks nearby to take the kids to just to name a couple things. Are y’all happy with the move so far?

That's awesome, Colorado is beautiful! I love Phoenix, I was just out in the desert too long and needed a change. So far so good, this has been one of the best decisions we have made for our family, we love it here in Florida. I wish you and your family the best in trying to decide what works best for you as well.

It sounds like you are trying to find the right fit for your family. I love scenic places. There are great tax breaks for very wealthy people in Florida so there are perks attached to that when it comes to building cities within the state. I have a feeling a move to Europe is in your family’s future. 🤔

You are 100% correct, and this has been the best fit so far but I do plan on retiring abroad maybe 10-15yrs down the road.

Not bad so far, we get rain like once or twice every other week. But pretty much 73-75 degrees the entire winter and spring so far and sunshine.
