Honestly New york is overly romanticised in all the movies. I have been there maybe three times from sydney. Firstly - it’s so far away haha. Secondly - it’s quite dangerous. I feel like it was the one place I wasn’t comfortable walking the streets as theres heaps of mentally unwell people who are noticeably not well. Not to scare you, but even my husband who is in the military didn’t feel safe :/ Just thought i’d warn you.
