Good stuff man. Probably not exact same, but reminds me of my adopted son. We don’t know what happened before, but he must have had traumatic experiences with water because when he was only 2 1/2, he was terrified of water. I worked with him and worked with him. Finally got him over that fear. I never saw such elation on a child’s face when he got over the fear and realized he could get in the swimming pool. It was totally rad (yeah, I just used the word rad…dates me lol).

I love your uplifting boating videos. What are your settings for the kids. Feel my wave too big for kids starting. We just got our Ri230 so figured I’d seek help for my daughter that is nervous.

Thanks!! Great question. Yes, I agree. The wave is too big for the kids. Through trial and error I found that it is best for the kids to surf at around 10.2mph, so I built a wave around that speed. I am planning on doing a video on the Centurion Boats KZbin channel about "How to setup a wave for your kid" Speed: 10.2mph Starboard Ram Fill (Surf Side) 100% Port Ram Fill (Non Surf Side) 70% Starboard PNP (Surf Side) 50-60% depending on people in the boat Port PNP (Non Surf Side) 0-10% depending on people in the boat Transom Bag 50-100% depending on people in the boat Midship 50% Bow 0% Stinger Plate Starting at 80% QuickSurf Engaged with Port Tab Deployed (Non Surf Side) 70-80% I actually use these settings for all beginners behind my boat. The wave is just to big and powerful for people that are new. So i created both a surf right and surf left profile with similar setting for surfing around 10.2. Let me know how she does!!! She is understandably nervous, Tucker was super nervous too, but now he loves it. At the beginning I also pulled him from the side tow point on the tower, to help pull him to the surf side of the boat.
