The burrs in the SGP is the same as those in the BE.. also those beans will go stale FAST in the hopper, you should really be single dosing and measure out your beans if you care about your coffee..

Thanks for the comment, might have the same Burrs but also has a lot more adjustments than what you can't do on the BE. I do have the Breville Bean Canister as well to store Beans in. Was demoing how much they do hold if you wanted to. We also loved just how much quieter it is.

This might have been a good option a few years ago, but with so many other choices in the market now it’s hard to recommend the SGP. I would recommend saving up for other more capable grinders, otherwise this is more of a sidegrade from the BES. Still, who am I to say you can’t make good use of this. Hope it serves you well!

Do you think that smart grinder would grind finer than the built-in one? I got barista pro, and I'm struggling with medium roasted coffee. Shots are fast in spite of adjusting the grind size down to 1, even internally. Do you think that smart grinder pro would help me out?

Depends on which machine you have? If its the Barista Express then its basically the same grinder although I found the Smart Grinder Pro to be much quieter to use. You have the Course or Fine settings on the machine but you also have the internal grind adjustment you could try - skip to 1:43 in the video to see - you can do this on both the Smart Grinder and the Internal Barista Express

@@eldenreviews Thanks for your reply. I mentioned that my machine is " Breville Barista Pro", that should be better than the Express.. I adjusted the "External" and the "Internal" burs.. But still I'm struggling...

@@ahmadboard6227 I had the same issue. Replace inner burr, then change your coffee to fresh coffee beans not more than month since roasting. Finally replace the gasket under the shower.

I just upgraded my old grinder to the new Breville pro to go along with my Breville precision brew pot. I also roast my own beans with my FreshRoast sr800. I get great results from my setup mushi_k. If you don't have one of these, how can you talk shit about it. Most of us that love coffee can't afford to spend $600 to $1000 for a grinder. The Breville does a great job.

I like to try roasting my own one day, when I have the time

dunno why this video comes up but the moment you go for a seperate grinder, i think you should up the ante and aim higher .... eureka, rocket, niche ...
@eldenreviews11 ай бұрын
You mean upgrade the coffee machine also?
@alexs.206911 ай бұрын
@@eldenreviews no, but dont invest in something equal to your old grinder if you are not happy with the integrated one, go up one class maybe buy an eureka mignon

Oh gotcha, for me just wanted a quieter one, which for the money this is.

I disagree with your recommendations. Niche what? Zero? SGP for me consistently produces a far better tasting shot than the Niche Zero. I haven't use the Duo yet but SGP and infact my built-in Barista Pro grinder was better than the Niche. Imo, the Bararza ESP is a better grinder than all of your recommendations. Better clarity, viscosity, flavour separation, and consistent.
