IFC is $470 and CSC is $1200 approx. It depends but companies see a lot of other stuff also while recruiting.

I would say read the notes thoroughly. The sample question that are there were not the same for me. I would just do them to get the flavour of the questions.

CSC is MFDA and IIROC license combined. IFC is just MFDA. So CSC is better in comparison. But during job search a lot other things matter.

Good question. IFIC was considered in my Interview. My job is in the mutual fund industry but IFC is not needed in my present position. I work in Head Office of one of the Big 5. My advise is to get the license to show commitment than not have it. They will prefer people with license than without.

Really nice question. Investment funds in Canada is both IFC and IFIC. Officially it's called IFC though.

"Passing and having the qualification is not sufficient; you must engage in or work in the relevant field in order to validate these exams." So, what happens to this qualification if we are unable to get a banking or related employment after receiving this certification?

That's a good question. The validity of the exam in 3 years . Then you havto re certify yourself. If you get a job good otherwise the certificate expires...

Hi, it would be my first attempt soon for cifc mutual funds. How many attempts are allowed in a yr. Hope i pass it in 1st attempt. Will be for 3hrs too?

There is only 1 attempted. You can do a second attempt after 15 days or 3 months. Not sure. It's been a while. Best of luck.

Excellent Question Aravind. YES!! the flavor of the questions will be the same. I am not sure about the difficulty of the questions as each paper is tailor-made for each attempt but passing with 60% doesn't take much effort. You should see my cheat sheet to refer to topics. Hi Ushna. I would suggest that now that you have enrolled for CSC, don't cloud your thoughts and focus on the exam. Start study and stop focussing on these questions. Go for it. CSC does give you a better profile with stock licence so go for it. Out of IFC and CSC, CSC is the better option in terms of future growth. Best of luck

Good question Tarun...There arnt any good resources online for the IFC examination sample questions. But when you signup for the course you get course material and sample papers in the module which give you a fair idea about the level and type of questions.

As you have a lot of experience I can only guide you as much. The most famous is CSC and IFC as the job description are. I have not seen many CIFC requirements. It also depends on the job you apply for like relationship managers. Banking in itself is also really big so I recommend you more research. Best of luck

Good question. I'm not sure, I cannot recommend any as I didn't them. I only used the Udemy course, that I can wholeheartedly reference and found to be enough.

The course material is online only. I recommend you to do some udemy course in the meanwhile

The pdf book is available online once you join the course. Once you join you have 1 year to clear the course so don't worry. If you want to start with the course without joining the course I recommend you to go for any Udemy course. They are really great.

I have plans to move early next year but as recession is imminentI, I might have to change plans and in this case if i sign up now, that money will be wasted. I will purchase it when i m there. @@Pramodgulia05 Great Points Pramod. The moment you sign up you have access for upto 1 year for the course material and have the validity for the examination for 1 year also. You can study now and give the exam within the year. The certificate is valid for 3 years that stretches your dream for upto 4 years. I have personally passed the exam months before landing. Its always better to give these exams before hand as I have seen many of my colleagues struggle upon landing.

Good question. I am a bit towards CSI because it's better known. But as an entry level IFSE also will do the job.
