Why WhisperRooms are Awesome! (ISO, Vocal Rooms, Recording Booth)

Recently I bought a WhisperRoom and it turned out to be absolutely wonderful. I initially doubted that WhisperRoom's claims of 75% sound reduction were true, but the amount of noise that this Enhanced room blocks is truly astounding. It has become one of the best investments in the recording studio, and it looks awesome too!

I visited many of the legendary recording studios in my career: Abbey Road EMI London, Sunset Sound, Capitol Records, RCA Records... our own Warner Bros recording studios here in Hollywood. I was always amazed at the non symmetrical room shapes, audio baffles that these studios had.

Cost is practically no object when it comes to isolation sometimes. There are rooms the size of this one which can cost as much as a four-bedroom house!

These are essential for recording vocals and acoustic. I am thankful for pick-ups that can be used on large instruments like your piano. I often use Leslie simulators for the Hammond organ rather than an actual Leslie. However I have considered a small enclosure for one of my Leslies and double mike it in various locations. As for now, I like the Lester G Leslie simulator. You may have some suggestions regarding Leslie simulators.

Brilliant, nice tour. You are, indeed really happy with it. I saw on there website that this is indeed a big one. Looks not that big to me. Big enough for you and the keyboards etc. but not for a piano. O, I don’t think that will fit trough the door. Haha alright... You talked about the junction boxes but do you also got one for the outlets? I think so, because you need to power up those keyboards as well. I like the blue color, it’s really calm to your eyes, I don’t know if other colors do that as well, so for me that color is nice. Thank you for sharing.

This one would hold my concert grand if I installed all of the sections I received with it, but I would have to take down one side to place it inside and once again to remove it. It's the type of thing that would need to be a dedicated space.

Do you have a floating floor? I saw a video of a small recording studio once which took the idea of a floating floor to the level where they built a small soundproof booth on a six-foot thick concrete slab sitting on hydraulic springs!

We have a thick rubber pad from Whisperroom that isolates the booth from the floor.

Whisper Rooms. I found it 30 minutes ago looking for ways to sound "deaden" a sax. THese rooms are perfect for any "hand-held" instrument" Or a keyboard.....assuming the keyboard doesn't have a h eadphone jack. Can they build custom room sizes? Is there a limit to the size? I ask because I was wondering if they didnt have a room large enough to fit a semi-concert grand in. :) Was just thinking how pointless acoustic pianos are fro homes--because no one has a purpsoe built room, everyone puts their pianos in the living room next to a exterior wall and window--annoying the neighbours. ON a hard wood floor. So really no one wiht an acoustic piano is getting "the best sound" from their expensive instrument. Great idea. HOpe they have plans to make custom room sizes ....obviously for people willing to pay the price. Have you priced the differene between a WHisper Room and a custom made studio room? Would it be cheaper just to build a "recording sutdio room"??

Great video! I have been researching for a long time and I am on the verge of buying something like this. Can you tell us the booth height? I am 6'5", so I am worried I will purchase a booth and I won't have much room to stand up or move around.

Would you ever be tempted to acquire a bunch of 12x12 ceramic tiles to give it that intense acoustic bounce that was used by some bands in the 50s through 80s? Does one of the walls have a hinge on one corner and a pinned hinge on the other so you can bring organs or pianos in with ease?

@Milan Recording Studios Just an observation for you: neither your website or your KZbin channels state WHERE Milan Recording Studios is located. Is it in Milan ,Italy? Is it in New York City? Is it in Lagos, Nigeria? No way to tell, which means some musicians who might want to book business at your studio are turning away and not considering your services at all. Just two cents from someone who really appreciates your videos and wants your business to succeed.
