Honestly more than half of the students studying in niser won't even be interested in research. They're did what everyone else does, grabbed the college they cleared the entrance for and study to get a job.

Ppl not interested in research will probably not even know what NISER/IISER/CEBS is. Only ppl who are interested make an effort to get to know more about it. So i don't think so bro. And getting a job after BSMS degree is not easy. So everyone has better choices. They choose these institutions for the love of science

That was true maybe 8yrs ago but not now. If a student cleared both jee and nest, there is a 90% chance they'll choose jee. And I said so because I know some students from niser and it is there own opinion. They chose it 'cause they cleared the entrance and not for the 'love of science ', though that may be a small part of it

NISER is a research oriented institution but it is not compulsory for every student studying to pursue it, though it was established with an aim to nurture talents interested in research. Also realistically speaking, it's all about society and relatives, would you rather say you study at NISER or at some xyz college. The answer your parents choose is simple

Bhaiya are these career options available right after int Msc at Niser : 1. Finance: Research graduates stand an equal chance in the lucrative finance industry along with engineering graduates, especially if your degree was in Math or Math heavy (like Physics, Chemistry). Little to no R&D involved though. 2. Actuarial Science: Similar to finance. 3. Data Sciences: Perhaps the one of the few field where you will see graduates from different fields of study coming together. Very high paying. Chances of getting hired are also equally high as engineering or PhD holders. 4. R&D jobs: Companies like Intel, IBM, DuPont hire graduates with research and industry experience en masse. But do not expect to get into any high paying position or get assigned to some major project immediately. Plus, you will face some strong competition from PhD candidates.

Last year it was like .the queue changed in every two days untill The last day of admission as mentioned in the website I.e if u get mail for admission and donot respond within 24 hours the seat will be passed

What is the marks ur getting a various colleges? If you think u will be able to get other colleges of priority of NISER then u can choose accordingly. Because once you come to NISER u won't be allowed to leave

Sir, I respect your views. But pls consider my condition, I am a one year neet dropper this year I gave neet and I expect 500 marks but as I am a Gen I won't get mbbs. I can't waste second year. Also I gave IAT and I expect Iiser pune, i was a bio student and i have to study maths in freshman year. But i am ready to study even now I have started study basic mathematics. @@adithyabharath2608 how are the people there? how are the professors? on Quora some people have been trying their best to defame NISER... but are "some" of those allegations true? like corruption and all?? btw one thing I now know for sure (after seeing videos) that the food is well, not so good at NISER (doesn't matter lol, fees is just 20k and scholarship is 80k, people can just order food if they want, 20k fees deke kya hi chahiye) but yeah regarding the other things, are they true??? I know that some people might be doing this because they were not able to handle the pressure of studies in NISER btw bro do you have some tips for me? only 2 weeks left for exam, and I ruined my IAT exam (lots of silly mistakes) so please share some tips to clear NEST exam :) it would be really helpful I have all the notes and material to solve questions for Mains and even a bit till Advanced, will it be enough to crack the exam? (obviously it will be, but lets just say... what are the Majority proportions from where questions can come?? the chapters basically...) btw the exam pattern has changed to +3 -1 single correct now and we need to do any 3 sections only (PCM for me) so please can you guide me for this? sorry for asking so many questions... btw how's the vibe there? I know that the workload of studies is more in NISER compared to IISERs and also mess food is a bit below average in NISER as compared to IISERs... have things improved btw? how is the overall vibe of the place? I know its in a village but how is life there? also IIT Bhubaneswar is also just around NISER right?

@@lightyagami5483 Niser is good if you are going to do physics phd, Biology department is not that good I think. Also all Niser students get the scholarship, that's not the case in IISER. Canteen food is real bad, but very cheap. If you want good food you can go to the cafeteria, though it's costly.
