Why Women are Preferred to Pray at Home over the Mosque? - Dr. Zakir Naik

A Muslim sister ask Dr. Zakir that he in his previous lecture said that it is advisable for women to pray at home. She has the desire to go to the mosque for prayers. She said that If women can go for shopping and parks then why can't they offer salah at the masjid?

Yeah, I feel preventing women from the mosque as in forcing a ban is a very bad idea especially in our time when women need correct Islamic information.

it is a brilliant idea of MUSLIMS to think of the safest way for their women. the word BETTER is there because it is safer especially for those without companions. The streets are not safe if you are alone. Many girls, ir women are kidnapped every day, in every part of the world. Many mothers are taking care of their children. So whose going to be with them. Men can take care of themselves.

MashAllah. Yes, very true, even in Sydney, there are all mosque were women are allowed but in separate section. But my brother and sisters in Islam one should take care not to socialise near the mosque area, as our main intention is for sake of Allah. At time in Sydney the mosque Imam’s had to remind our youth about it. Please remember in prayers. May Allah make it easy for me to make it to Makkah and Madinah. Ameen. BarakAllahu feek. The problem is the lack of section for women in mosques in india. The local mosques are made at low budgets generally for men because it becomes fardh for men to pray at mosque and not for women.

Benefits of reciting Ayat al-Kursiy Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) put me in charge of guarding the collected zakah of Ramadan. Someone came and started to rummage in the food. I took hold of him and said, I will surely take you to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).… He [the one who came and rummaged in the food] said, When you go to your bed, recite Ayat al-Kursiy and you will be protected by Allah, and no devil will come near you until morning. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “He told you the truth even though he is a liar. That was a devil.” Narrated by al-Bukhari (2311). (Below is the complete Ayat al-Kursiy with transilation) اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ. Transliteration: Allaahu laa ‘ilaaha ‘illaa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyoom, laa ta’khuthuhu sinatun wa laa nawm, lahu maa fis-samaawaati wa maafil-‘ardh, man thal-lathee yashfa’u ‘indahu ‘illaa bi’ithnih, ya’lamu maa bayna ‘aydeehim wa maa khalfahum, wa laa yuheetoona bishay’im-min ‘ilmihi ‘illaa bimaa shaa’a, wasi’a kursiyyuhus-samaawaati wal’ardh, wa laa ya’ooduhu hifdhuhumaa, wa Huwal-‘Aliyyul- ‘Adheem Translation: Allah! There is none worthy of worship but He, the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? He knows what happens to them in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

You are clearly a Hindu and follow Hinduism, hence you know nothing about Islam. It is not obligatary for women to go to the mosque as it is for men. Women have children or are breastfeeding, prayers are usually at night, so women will have to walk in the dark which is unsafe, women also have their monthly cycles so are not required to attend. There are also many more reasons why it is not an obligation to attend the mosque.

He said you are welcome to the mosque but due to several conditions in India, Pakistan and some other countries peoples including Emam, and other authorities don not encourage women to be entertained inside mosque. Maybe because of lack of facilities, lack of space, or any other. If a men doesn't go in a mosque for the 5 times of namaj then he is following his sin. But for women it is not sin at all. Women has many works to do like holding a family which is a big task for some womens for which it allows all the womens to worship at home. Hope you got the point what he and I use to say.😊
