I’ve been listening to him a lot this week but idk I feel like this little explanation didn’t do it for me… we have female leadership at the church nowadays sometimes it feels like some of them preach the word better than men. Even some are more inspiring than men. I have been receptive with the word from some of them. So I’ll be left without knowing the reality of those verses, just like some others.

I agree that women can preach as well as men, but the reason they can’t be priests in the Catholic Church is because of the apostolic succession, all Christ’s chosen apostles were men, had he chosen women then only women could be priests, as Fr Sheen said, it has nothing to do with superiority

Also the Priest isn’t just a preacher. The role of the Priest goes all the way back to Adam. His job involves many aspects. You’ll have to research all that. But the main thing a priest does is to represent Jesus as our high priest and sacrifice at the Mass. We need good strong male priests to be an example of a good strong Jesus who are willing to sacrifice their lives for the Church as in Ephesians 5. This is very deep. Needs more research.

@@RunCMD97that verse doesn’t say anything about being a priest. It’s talking about women teaching. So if you take away teaching from women that doesn’t stop them from being priests. There are Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. There were female Prophets in the Old Testament. 1 Peter 2:9 is talking about all Christians.

@@Windowsndoors they were never ordained. A priest holds authority in church and women can't hold authority over a man, especially in a church. It would be directly against the church, the Bible, and Christ. Plus, priests act in the person of Christ. Christ is a man. That alone should settle it. Women discerning vocations should look to being nuns and teaching the next generation of Catholic children. Same with gay marriage, we don't have the power to change the will of God. Christ ordained 12 men as priests. If he intended women to be ordained as well, he would've ordained someone like Mary Magdalene, who was believed to be present

@@Windowsndoors this is the Church's stance, they don't have the authority to ordain women to the clergy, and they have had the same position for nearly 2000 years. Holy orders are for men only

@@RunCMD97 You think men make priests? Every man woman and child born of water and Spirit is a priest of God. What are prophets? Don’t you know there are female prophets written of in the Bible? Do you think on scripture about a woman not having authority over a man means they aren’t priests? In 2018 I sinned against the Lord. He was washing me but my heart was hurt when I had a problem with the engine in my vehicle. My wife told me to just get a jack from her dad. I wanted to wait and buy my own. I was loosing a fluid but couldn’t find the leak and wanted to jack my vehicle up. This isn’t a strange thing for the Lord to do in my life. It’s actually a regular thing. One night I had a dream where I was taking this toy SUV, about one foot long, and putting it on a big jack. It wasn’t perfectly straight so I took a few seconds adjusting it and stood up. Two men were behind the jack and one said “You sure are a perfectionist. Aren’t you?” I went straight into another dream where my father in law was in my engine compartment and I was next to the vehicle. The engine was gone and I looked in and saw the lines running next to the engine and there was no leak. I woke up and realized where the leak had to be, went out and bent as far as I could and saw up through the lowest point in my grill, that the leak was hidden behind a plastic piece. Great! Right? I made a small problem (SUV and jack) huge. The Lord commands husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church. That is one verse in the whole Bible I’ve struggled with understanding because of aaalll of the other facts in scripture. What’s amazing is that men in Catholicism treat that verse that way but are in error in so many other places. Baptism-Mark 16:16 Who ever believes and is baptized will be saved but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And by what authority do you baptize babies? I promise you all are in major error. Each person must choose the Lord for themselves. Unmarried priests? Don’t you know Peter was married? Theee Apostle you all claim is the first pope wouldn’t be acceptable as the lowest priest in your religion. Jesus Christ, the head of the entire church of God chose him and you all would say no because you have a better method of choosing priests. Not by the true rock spoken of in Matthew 16 but by celibacy. The rock or truth He’s building His church on is revelation from the Father and not by the will of man. God draws men and He does what He wants with His children as long as they walk in His Spirit. I’m not Catholic but He is more amazing than you can ever imagine. I cried more in one week after the Spirit came and filled my heart with love than my entire life before. Before I cried because I was an idiot most of the time. After I cried because I loved Jesus sooo much and had done sooo much to Him on the cross through people He loves and because I understood the pain people suffer and will suffer because they’re blinded by a pile of trash heading to a fire pit. Women don’t need to be over men because their Father is and the only reason a man is is for order. The Father created the sexes for their purposes and a man is to protect His greatest possession on earth which is not himself but his Fathers daughter. Read what David said about King Saul’s daughter. Is it a light thing to marry the Kings daughter? He’ll take your head if you abuse her. Every female believer is a Royal Priest in His family. It is His business.
