I was honored to roll with him at a morning class back in 96 or 97. I can’t remember if he was a blue belt yet. I was a white belt. We rolled twice. The first time I caught him in an ankle lock and as he tapped he yelled “f^ck” and I’ll never forget Renato telling him “Eddie Bravo no swearing in class”. The next roll he immediately arm barred me with the quickness. That’s my bjj claim to fame story lol.

Eddie was very lucky to bump into John Joc Machado that’s the truth. How I trained way more than that many days a week I just didn’t bump into John Joc Machado the only decent teacher everyone else hit their information I wish I did athletic ability in my passion for jitsu was beyond oh well that’s the way it goes I guess my one thing I loved I got kinda sideswiped. But I’m not complaining all is good quality problems
