Depends on a lot of things but ether lower voltage so change ESC’s BEC settings cause they ether work or they die (nothing between) or it could be the Dynamic Range (it’s so low it slowly moves so check the torque it won’t have half as much as it should) setting on the controller or receiver which is usually the case.

Few things to check. 1. Pillow balls aren't too tight 2. Ackerman isn't warped 3. Ackerman isn't catching on the bulkhead 4. Ackerman bushings aren't too tight 5. Servo saver isn't binding on something (see how much it can move up and down on the posts), or too loose. 6. Linkage from the servo isn't too tight 7. Steering posts aren't bent 8. Kick up on the chassis hasn't been bent (further)

Yea most esc’s with built in bec only give out 6.0v as there not ment to put out a lot of power compared to a stand alone bec but they can sometimes be changed to 7.4v depending on ESC’s but be warned there amps are limited usually to 3a meaning using high current draw servos/accessories like SAVOX for example have huge current draws and OFTERN burn out built in BEC’s. Ps: don’t get me wrong SAVOX are amazing servo’s I actually use them, just a lot of people don’t do there research then wonder why there bec stops working in there esc and so on..

Hey Kev, I’ve seen this problem on Kratons before... usually it’s the fact that the servo saver is too loose or too weak. But I’ve also found that most cheap batteries can’t provide enough voltage/Amps to the motor and BEC at the same time... so maybe try some higher discharge batteries as well! Keep up the great work kev!

I've seen a lot of people say something about the receiver and I agree with that theory if there's any question about it you can always put a voltmeter at the end of an old scrap cord you have from an old servo and see how much power is being output through the receiver. Sounds like a likely suspect especially since it works in the other vehicle

To check whether its the mechanics or the electrics, take a known good car, unscrew the servo from it but leaving it electrically connected, and using a servo extension cable, mount the servo from that car in the 'bad car', so ALL the electrics are running through the good car, including receiver and transmitter etc, but the servo is mounted in the bad car. If it's still slow, then you know all the electrics in the bad car are fine, and its something mechanical.

i wonder.. try feeling the steering from the servo-link arm with it placed on the ground, that will give you a full feel for what the servo is feeling. maybe that will help you figure out if maybe the leverage on the steering link is too low for it to push the steering at its full potential

is the armature for the servo just a bad design, is one armachure to small or something so it puts massive amounts of force against it

Maybe something is binding up that makes the steering slow? Rebuild/lube maybe.

Maybe check the pivot balls. If its 2 tight then it will bind the steering and/or suspension. Goodluck Kev!!

Have you tried replacing the motor and steering joints and arms? That could be a possible issue thats keeping your kratton from getting good steering power

Well if the steering without servo connected is smooth and free and the servo works fine in other cars, then it must be radio or reciever.

More surface area on the large tyre trucks need more torque running off 7.4. Also Basher Queen is right, the servo saver on the 6s range is fine on narrow wheel base cars like the Mojave, infraction, felony but not on wide wheelbase trucks like the Kraton, Notorious and Outcast.

Put two 12mm external snap rings on your servo saver between the nut and the spring to tension the spring. Your steering looks weaker than mine was so you may need 3 external snap rings Kev. Dirt cheap fix 😁👍
